Is it just me or is this chapter sweet and sour?
Yeah. I also thought they both looked sad.

They’ve gotten so used to share their bus travel time, a moment without anyone else getting in the way, that now the mere thought of not knowing when they’ll be able to see each other makes them sad and anxious, whether they admit it or not.

Thank you for the translation!

Seriously, seriously, seriously. The paneling, man. The paneling. A weekly series usually has fix pages, so within that restraint, the author need to convey the story properly. That's why some chapters from weekly series sometimes go down in quality from that problem. Not enough pages, more panels, more text bubble, and then the story, or the pacing suffer.

And in this chapter, a weekly series used so many panels without dialogues, but it moves the story forward. The silence become a narration of the two characters who thought about what to do, what to say to let them meet again, without saying, "I want to see you."

Also, also, also, the characterization!! The action of An who immediately changed her seat after Shunpei's friends get off of the bus. Choosing to sit in front of him, instead of the seat across, so Shunpei can't see her face directly. Clearing's throat before opened the conversation, as if she need to encourage herself. Then that hint of regret when the "little brother" who was always need her help for summer homework, now can do it without her help. Even without her own monologue, every panels tell An's emotion, and way of thought.

It's so beautifuuuuuul!! SEISHUN DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! (Seishun means youth)

This manga is always bitter and sweet to me.

It's bitter because reading this remind me of the past where I had friend that I usually interact with despite went to different school.

We were kinda indirectly promised to went to same high school after we graduate, but I failed to pass to that school. Well, we do still in contact and a few times meet her, but almost rarely talk about we went to college.

I know I had chance, but I was too spineless to admit my feeling back then.

I love this manga and those two. It makes me feel like I’m fourteen years old once again and talking to the girl i have a crush on.

I would say "just confess already", but that's happening next next chapter. Trust me. It will happen. I bet the serialization of Love Bullet on this statement.

The panel after An stood up, with PoV from behind Shunpei’s back, and you can see An’s side glance away, the closed hand raised in front of her mouth; you can practically see her thinking, where in other series that would have been two word bubbles with her ruminating explicitly while there was a portrait of her face.
The author works more cinematic, setting a scene and mood, being implicit rather than explicit.

I really hope we get an official release. I really, really want to read a volume on the couch, cheeks hurting with glee and feet smacking into pillows.
