Seriously, seriously, seriously. The paneling, man. The paneling. A weekly series usually has fix pages, so within that restraint, the author need to convey the story properly. That's why some chapters from weekly series sometimes go down in quality from that problem. Not enough pages, more panels, more text bubble, and then the story, or the pacing suffer.
And in this chapter, a weekly series used so many panels without dialogues, but it moves the story forward. The silence become a narration of the two characters who thought about what to do, what to say to let them meet again, without saying, "I want to see you."
Also, also, also, the characterization!! The action of An who immediately changed her seat after Shunpei's friends get off of the bus. Choosing to sit in front of him, instead of the seat across, so Shunpei can't see her face directly. Clearing's throat before opened the conversation, as if she need to encourage herself. Then that hint of regret when the "little brother" who was always need her help for summer homework, now can do it without her help. Even without her own monologue, every panels tell An's emotion, and way of thought.
It's so beautifuuuuuul!! SEISHUN DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! (Seishun means youth)
