need more asap, needed more yesterday.

about the entire plot etc:
it'll be fine, even if she ends up losing it all for the girl she loves.
they can start new somewhere else, so long as the girl graduates.

Man, how does one even answer to that? And this is coming for a teacher to a student no less. The girl is scared s**tless there.

I did not expect the teacher to be so extreme, but giving the rumors and how forward that student was I do not blaim her one bit.

But it will be interesting to see how will this unfold by the end. Giving the teacher yandeere vibes it can also go into very, very dark path...

Could anyone tell me what volume and around what chapter this is in the light novel?
It's the first volume, past the second half, after Chapter 2: Looking Up at a Falling Star. It depends on the version, but in mine it's more or less on page 150.

Thanks for the swift translation!

Now that I read manga after reading the novel, I feel like sensei comes across waaay creepier. I think the artist did a really great job portraying the nuances of getting fixated and obsessed.

Yeah, I thought the same! unfortunately, unlike the novel, we can't get all of Itsuki's inner monologues, which is a shame because they let us understand more about sensei , why she is the way she is and why she does the things she does. There are also other details you only get in the novel, like when sensei noticed togawa's pedicure. However, I think the mangaka did a pretty good job portraying Itsuki in that way, i think this version of sensei comes across a bit creepier than in the novel, but it's still faithful to the original.

And thanks for reading!

The story is kind of weird sometimes. We didnt see it happening but theres this understanding that Ichigohara-sensei likes girls and even rumors.
Tho is clear for us she does like girls because of Rin and the fact shes has a only convenient apathetic marriage, but her students shouldnt know that and apart from Rin we didnt see her pay much attention to other students.
But this chapter was too focused in jealousy all around like a flu. Theres also this yandere like side to Ichigohara sometimes too.

The rumor supposedly exists even before the teacher and Rin start being interested in each other, in page 13 Itsuki remarks that Rin reacted strangely when she heard that the teacher is married - the same as Mori did here, because as Rin know about that rumor she (and others) would think that the teacher is a lesbian.
And that implied Itsuki must have unconsciously ogled female students sometimes, the story is told from her perspective so ofc it can't make clear of her "unconscious acts".
The point that Mori mentioned about the teacher's holding hands with Rin is just to add up more, not the sole cause for this rumor.

Now that I think about it, it's strange the teacher claims that "she never had anyone like that (a lesbian) close to her".

Even excluding Rin (whose feelings Itsuki is still trying to come to terms) and Takasora (just a new friend Itsuki hadn't known for long), in volume 3 of the LN
we learn that Itsuki was highschool friend with Chiki - or Chitaira Shiho, the sugar mommy in My first love's kiss. Itsuki was quite a close friend with her, and know about her affairs with lots of girls in their school back then.

Did the author not intend for that part in volume 3 yet when writing volume 1? Or is Itsuki just trying to evade Mori's question or something?

If I remember correctly, yes, in vol 3
they let us know thru a flashback in Itsuki's dream that she did know someone like that. However, Itsuki doesn't remember, because as soon as she wakes up she has already forgotten the dream, and she can't even remember her name:

"I can't remember her real name, but we called her Riku. Riku was a friend within our group, and as far as I knew, she was the most beautiful female student in the school. She herself had said she was a young lady from a good family, and I felt an elegance in her demeanor that made me believe it."

And by the end: "Seeing her in a dream after so long, I felt a little nostalgic. And I had a feeling that once this dream ended, I would forget it again."

So we can say that she HAS met lesbians before Hoshi or Togawa, she just doesn't remember.

Besides, there is also a flashback of Itsuki going to a small idol concert, where she almost loses it when she sees the girls' legs and short skirts. My point is that the author has implied Itsuki's true nature a couple times.
