Like how we had the full recipe first Roman concrete but it never worked until somebody tried salt water. It was just common sense tgat you used salt water so they just put 'water' on the instructions.


We'll eventually end up with the same problem with food recipes, I'm sure of it. Just "eggs" "milk" and "butter"? Eventually chickens and cow dairy will cease to be the default and people will be confused why Xenpakian Spider eggs and Fuglark milk and butter doesn't work.

For Roman stuff we already have that problem; they loved a plant called Silphium and used it so extensively it went extinct.

We've got theories about what plant it was, but it's impossible to be sure if the stuff we've found is actually what they were talking about.

Pages 30 and 31 are partially untranslated. Even if you don't want to clean up the original text you should place the translations somewhere on the page border.

That's what I was coming to mention. That's a whole conversation untranslated. I also wish that they would translate sfx but a lot of groups don't, which is a huge shame. Like you say, even if the cleaning and redrawing is too difficult, put the translation in the margins. Sometimes the sfx is significant to the story, or needed for context for the scene, or it's not obvious what the sound was.
