For some reason, he reminds me of Vlad from the Magicka games, Vlad was a guy that dressed in all black, could be seen going for the necks of people, and acted like a vampire...but wasn't a vampire.

I thought he was, but in his introduction he outright says that he is Vlad and not a vampire, and when giving you a quest and the most important points to remember would remind you he isn't a vampire.

Clearly this guy suffers from the same thing as Vlad, just really looking like a vampire and having to remind others they aren't a vampire!

Houhou questions- don't cockatrices' gaze or bites (I forget, or is it a basilisk?) paralyze people?? With it growing so much, isn't this going to be a problem? And does it need to eat labyrinth meat to survive as well?

As for crap peach solution- along with possible solutions like planting/growing it like the tomatoes/differentiating honey sourcing, maybe some sort of neutralizing agent, hinted at by the goddess tears mention. Maybe similar to how things like bracken ferns/wild veggies/olives are treated throughout the world - ash/lye/soda agent to cure it before cooking or eating. Perhaps the Chekov's flower she brought back will help? Nectar or its innate properties to soak it along with it?

Because time skip, the honey only marks you for a week or something, and the chicken's growth shows it's been a couple months since then.
