its kinda cool eventually you notice the series is more or less a day by day story, it makes sense you get told "dont be dumb" and the next chapter the girl tries to not be dumb, and like im here for the funny gags man, its what i live for

In case people forgot, chapter 1 Noa said she didnt see Rihito as a man (which was almost enough to get me to drop it because that's a terrible thing to say) and Rihito is finally expressing his irritation about that. It took about 100 chapters, but it's progress.

its not a big deal, thats just supposed to mean that she doesnt know him as a person at all, the point is to show that this person doesnt know you enough to deem you a "man" in their eyes, same as a child having a crush on an adult, or a stepfather to their lovers kid, the adult would not see her as a "woman" because theyve been with them long enough to know they arent their version of a proper "woman" and the kid would maybe not accept the stepfather as "father" because they dont know em long enough to picture their idea of a "father" with them yet, in both situations given enough time things would maybe change for both examples same as this series does

for rihito he straight up gets told that he seems "genderless" to noa, then progresses to "kind and with a big heart", added with his personality noa now sees him as a "friend", then later after some nagging he becomes a "special friend" to noa, and the big point now is that noa would try and see him as a "man", recently tachibana called rihito "easy to talk to" since shes "strange" to other people, youd understand the reasoning for the way both tachibana and noa act so open towards rihito, in general hes just "really nice to be with" in their eyes, progress wise it makes sense since its been apparently around half a year since they started hanging out, and like in general people can just choose to be friendly with each other for a long time to a close friend before going to a relationship if they want
