Though HOW she's her mom has not been explained yet, as after he disappeared to finish off the demon king, she disappeared for a few years, dropped a baby (Haruka) off on his sister, then disappeared AGAIN, this time into the dungeon to find MC. My personal guess is magic clone or something, because it otherwise didn't make sense from the story and their relationship that she just decided to have a kid with another guy, then just peace out into the dungeon.

and there's actual stakes, so it's not just non-stop slice-of-life stuff.

Honestly, the relationships between the characters is pretty decent.
