Several dialogues in Myne's "flashback" were adjusted to match the actual drawing, this is unfortunately just a side effect of inconsistent work between Namino and Suzuka. Btw, we're trying to release on a 3-weeks schedule for Vol.1, so make sure to join our discord to receive pings.

Thank you for the translation but I wonder about the relevancy of it when we already have a fanmade and official translation of this part. Wished someone worked on Part 5 instead...

Quiet you, we all were looking forward to TOOR Scans' version, especially compared to the rough quality of the first translations uploaded.

Lingpain or Healpain. I understand what you were saying on the credit page, but it just sounds weird in English. lol

Someone please make sense of what Eckhart said. We later see that Ferdinand and Karstedt were close enough in age to take baths together as children, so how could Karstedt's second son, a grown man, be close in age to Ferdinand? They have to be over a decade apart in age.

According to the wiki, Ferdinand at this point is 21, Karstedt is 38 and Eckhart is 18.

The bathing scene you're referring to is something that Rosemyne was imagining based on the conversation she was having with Rihyarda. Rihyarda mentioned earlier that she originally raised Karstedt and later became a wet nurse for Sylvester (currently 26-ish). It's fair to say that she started raising Ferdinand quite some time after that.

Tl;dr, don't worry about that bath scene. That never happened in the way that it was shown.

About the TL notes at the end:
"Lanzel": German for lance
This is just slightly off. "Lance" (eng) => "Lanze" (ger)
Maybe "Lanzer" instead of "Lanzel"? Because "Lanzer" is someone who wields a lance. The usual R <-> L problem with japanese maybe?

Will it be said why Elvira liked Ferdinand so much? Other women are understandable, but Elvira is always dignified, so it feels weirder.

I don't think it's ever clarified, but Ferdinand is just conforming perfectly to the beauty canon of the world, plus he had to be charming to survive due to his situation while growing up. There is a short chapter that showed how he had to hide his true self to Veronica since he was a child.
There is also the fact that Elvira has a lot of imagination as the later chapters will show
(she is THE most successful and prolific writer of romance novels when she begins to be involved in the printing industry)
so Ferdinand's distance from the rest of noble society is perfect for her imagination to run wild. Iirc there is also a story from his time at the academy, but I don't remember the details/don't know if it's ever been revealed in details.

Ferdinand is the "JPop/KPop" idol of that country, and it doesn't hurt that he's her husband's cousin, so she has that forbidden relationship fetish working full time in her imagination.

I've been wondering, is there a scene I've forgotten in the manga or anime where Ferdi actually explains Myne's health and mana issues? In rereading the prior translation prepping for the new season, it felt like it was just swept into the background (kind of like Arno's fate...)

Also, beastmounts instead of highbeasts? It makes sense, but curious nonetheless

It was pushed under the rug, yes, but there are later explanations, both in this part and later ones.

Poor girl has 3 full time jobs at age 7. And it's not getting any easier until the end.

Yes, in the prologue of the 1st book of part 3, there's a pretty good explanation

Basically Ferdinand gives Myne a medical exam and since she "died" when Urano took over, her body has a bunch of hard clumps of mana. Those are restricting the normal flow, which cause her to collapse when she's overly emotional. The conclusion is they need to get the ingredients for a jureve to cure her.
