You fell into the trap of Japanese honorifics. The only correct decision is to leave it alone as-is in Japanese. It’s not worth translating unless it’s specific and/or unusual, it maintains the flavor, and even then a TL note explaining the honorific would be significantly more sufficient than fully translating it.

The key to JP TL is not literally translate everything. I mean, if you had to, what if there’s a character called Kuyoyama-sama? You want to write down Lord Blackmountain on that cell? That’s probably not an accurate translation either if the guy’s surname is literally just Kuroyama. Same with Chinese; that’s how back then sometimes you get really questionable characters names like “Thunder Fire Murder Goat” or “Flower Absconding Stela”.
Bro, you only think "Thunder Fire Murder Goat" is questionable because you've never seen them live. I saw them open for Lord Blackmountain before they signed on Nuclear Blast, shit was insane.

But seriously, you're right that untranslated is the safest decision. Sometimes the literal or untranslated options don't quite capture tone or wordplay, but... those are edge cases. Regardless, all translation is adaptation.

I LOL'd at page 12. I feel, even though it wasn't said, that the people harassing Mr Hiro were going:

Woah! Woah! We're low life degenerates but we're not that big of a low life degenerate. Don't talk about lending a girl like she's an object...

I mean as far as handle's go "Thunder Fire Murder Goat" is a pretty damn good one if the character limit doesnt get you first 😂

In the light novel she uses "Master Hiro" :smugnako:

But he's gonna need them!
I hope they won't cut out Serena's part.
if she called him master then its no wonder they think shes being forced as they think shes his slave (regardless of the translation naming sense)

Man, I love this manga so much. Thanks for the translation.

And I cannot wait for anime series this fall. But at the same time I am very scared as it is being done by Studio A-CAT.

And I do not want this awesome space isekai to end like TBATHE did... :meguuusad:

Me and you both Brother, also Crunchyroll has it...

Woah, absolute goofballs good-natured mercenaries picking a fight with MC in order to do a good deed by freeing a slave (though they might be hoping for some gratitude from the cute girl). Is the "mister" correctly translated? They're reacting weirdly to it, like she might be calling Hiro her master or something.
In the light novel she uses "Master Hiro" :smugnako:
Ah yeah, makes more sense with their reaction.

I wonder if they'll end up drinking and being friendly later or just leaving and never being heard of again.

Considering he is technically a noble now
Not yet, the medal just puts him on the honorary knight level, swords are more or less just a status symbol. Hiro will get a a proper noble rank of sorts given to him once this arc finishes and they get invited by the Emperor to the capital planet.

Are those two on space drugs? They seem to be morally outraged that Hiro has committed the crime of… having a crew. (Yes we know about the tradition that female crew to a male captain are automatically his doxies, but like… Mimi knows it too, and she signed up, and she’s clearly not being held against her will.)

Also doesn’t the medal he’s clearly displaying make him effectively nobility? Which is reinforced by how he’s bearing swords in public? This is a super feudal society, iirc Hiro can literally legally murder them for sassing him, what they’re doing is basically suicide and they should know it.

The doxy tradition's coloring things, but they're coming on way too fierce here; don't kill them Hiro, they may not be so dumb they can't learn.

They probably don't know what carrying those swords mean and just think they're personal defense weapons..
Early chapter Hiro showed his gun towards some ruffians, and they back off.
It is never a good idea to pick a fight with someone armed, also most of the mercenary should know Hiro from the reward ceremony.

I'm surprised Mei is not with Hiro, because Mei top priority is to ensure Hiro safety over others, although ordered to by Hiro himself. PLUS Elma should be enough to guard the twins while they are commissioned. Kinda wonder what this filler bits supposed for other than to assert Hiro dominance.

While working for a nation where wearing a sword means you're a noble and can famously cut people down with it without reprecusions for every perceived slight? That's well past the "too dumb to live" territory, especially for a mercenary.
