nothing much just a series of misunderstanding

hero basically become a "coward who want to get stronger with other" so katana girl ditch him because thats not the kind of strength she needed

also the hero hilariously afraid of the oni girl after that.
the mc keep getting more popular and train until the reason why he become villain explained.

so you know how his father is being a dick to mc? well apparently its all itentional, mc father basically a lawful evil kind of guy, the kingdom need someone to hold the rein of underground world and mc family is the one that do that. so mc upbringing is to build his character except WHO TF THINK ITS GOOD IDEA TO PLANT HATRED AND EVIL TO A CHILD THAT DESTINED TO TOOK OVER UNDERGROUND WORLD, oh I wonder why mc became the villain in the original story.

END!? What do you mean END!? YOU CANT DROP A SURPRISE LITTLE SISTER (with some kind of complex it seems) AND JUST CALL IT END! THOSE BASTARDS! if you knew you were not going to print another volume of the manga you could have just skipped the sister and not left the readers with the hanging "What if" feeling.

8/10, would recommend
