I enjoyed this for what it was, though I do feel let down that it's ended in such a dull way. I've seen significantly worse endings, but these sudden open endings are always disappointing and just leave you saying 'oh...'
At least it finished this arc, and really didn't leave any questions lingering, so I suppose my frustration comes from simply wanting more - which I guess is quite complimentive... though on a less positive note; if someone asked me if this was worth reading, I think I'd lean more towards a no.
Despite the characters and scenario being fun, nothing much happened. This was literary fairy floss; completely empty.
... but if they picked this series back up again, I'd immediately be back on it.
Most promo manga series get between three and maybe six or seven volumes
Really? Feels kinda deceptive. They really should only be about a volume, maximum... honestly, they should really just be a single chapter run-through.
You often see this with vertical comics where they'll have a chapter 0 that's either a pitch for a series (an equivalent to a one-shot) or a chapter to sell books, though they both usually read the same.
Having so many chapters, and ending it like this, feels like a betrayal, if it is all just a big advertisement. It also just feels like a waste of the comic artist's talent - having forced him/her to just work on one big ad campaign for multiple years.
