he wants to be a villain not evil, his rules are basically to do what he wants when he wants and to not let anyone get in his way or make decisions for him.
It's not "evil" if he handles people that try to harm him without the ridiculous self-sacrificing hero nonsense trope he just pulled. Nobody said he has to kill her, but being a meat shield for all her attacks without doing shit as a way for her to vent out her issues is the complete opposite of a villain. This more akin to your typical naive do-gooder power of friendship shounen protagonist. I get what he's trying to do, but I personally found it a bit cringe and needlessly melodramatic.

no, father is literally Auger's op ass dad
It's right here that I realized Auger's "my dad is pretended to be evil" thing was 100% true, he's actually good. I figured there was a misunderstanding or something, but his dad is basically a double agent

I'm hoping that professor's demise is slow, given what she did to others.
So often villain's are built up with these horrific long torturous crimes... and then they just cleanly kill the villain... NO!
If you have to look along the shaft of an arrow from the wrong end, if a man has you entirely at his mercy, then hope like hell that man is an evil man. Because the evil like power, power over people, and they want to see you in fear. They want you to know you're going to die. So they'll talk. They'll gloat.

They'll watch you squirm. They'll put off the moment of murder like another man will put off a good cigar.

So hope like hell your captor is an evil man. A good man will kill you with hardly a word.”

If you haven't noticed yet, Reina tried to take her own life after she thought she killed Auger, that's why Auger did not only tell her he's still alive, he also reached out and held her hand to stop her from casting the magic

I have to say that the Reina arc is probably my favorite so far. A lot of the other arcs had better fights but this one just hits some really good notes, like the facial expressions, inner turmoil, silliness. Yeah, this is great.

Thanks for the translation!

EDIT: what an absolute goat. She was about to blow herself up after killing him. He stopped her.

Did I miss something, or there was a deeper motive in becoming Reina's punching bag aside from stress relief?
