From comments that I have read their are changes to the plot the woman that blackedlist the mc was not fired at first. And in this chapter the way Kaori got fired is a bit different from the web novel. And finally in the manga it's revealed that Katsuki whould not take no for an answer when Kaori was Rejecting his advances, so Katsuki asked his boss for help and his boss told him to don't hold back and in the web novel version Katsuki boss told him to strong arm Kaori.

I hope everyone on this forum reads TheEnd478's rant on page 2. Genuinely the funniest shit I've read (I agree with what he said fr)

Thanks for the chapter~
There's more in store for the bitch but honestly I'm not satisfied with her repercussions in the novel
I look forward to seeing the carpet Push underneath her, realised what she lost and not getting it back.

I'll be curious to see how the student teacher date goes

Bad actions leads to the disastrous consequences. That chapter are the prime example. That woman gets his desserts now.

She got hired because of Reito and she got fired because of Reito. Guess that's fair. Should've climbed the ranks to make it harder. But if she was smart enough to do that, then she wouldn't let Reito go because of those assumptions. The guy wears the brand she works for! It's a high end brand to boot.

Not knowing high class restaurants is fine, but not knowing the fashion brand you work for is crazy. She's not that bright, but it looks like she might unknowingly end up as a high maintenance girlfriend.

God, that ex is denser than osmium. I don't really care about the MC, I just wanna see that antagonist couple being completely ruined.

Literally not a conclusion because now she could apparently sue for wrongful termination...
Wrongful termination isn't the way a revenge plot is supposed to go...
It's something you'd start a revenge plot over...

How can the ex be so stupid yet also so normal? Only thing I can think of is she's being manipulated by something to only not realize things related to the mc, because it's starting to seem too suspicious.

the company was well within their rights to fire her btw, considering she probably wasn't even qualified for the job, considering she literally got there because of MC

won't matter, she can't sue, like literally with what money?
even if it's probono
and no one is stupid enough to go fight a court battle when the ones involved became the reason their top adventurer which is far more beneficial to the country than a store employee or a desk job employee at the adventurers guild ended up retiring prematurely, she could always use that as a reason why she terminated her contract and expound on the fact that she was only hired because her then boyfriend was someone the owner considered family.
the amount of man power and ire those 2 have gotten from the general public alone is already enough for them to be put in prison.

Lmfao. W power harassment? Basically gtfo of my franchise, you tried to fuck over my step-son.

I don't understand why they can't just undo all the stuff she did. She blacklisted him. Okay. Just undo it.
Because it led him to say "fuk it im not doing it anymore then" and that news definitely affected Japan's world standing (and stocks for sure). This is like basic early chapter info....

Dumbasses like burner5 cant comprehend what an eye for an eye is.

I guess these limpdicks just want some feel good wish fulfillment. This situation is MUCH more real than those actual wish fulfillment power fantasy revenges that are popular

I don't find it satisfying that the ex lost her job as we weren't given any inkling that she was horrible at her job nor was she active in getting the MC fired (though she did watch as her new boyfriend fired him). It feels like cheap wish fulfillment.
i'm surprised you even need more clues. the chapter was riddled with reasons

  • i only hired you because of nepotism
  • no you're not really special
  • you're a nobody
  • normally you wouldn't even be hired
the clues are there and frankly they can stir up any number of reasons that will pass legally

  • because of you Japan's SSS rank adventurer forcibly retired
  • Japan now lost a quick way to get resources from Dungeons
  • Japan's top party/guild was forced to disband because of you and your boyfriend
  • Japan's top adventurer started to doubt himself because of you

any number of those reasons would be more than enough to fire someone, the value of people is NOT equal
people will always side with companies and orgs that prioritize those that can be a benefit to society vs those that cannot or have prevented those who are contributing highly to society from being able to contribute more
and if Harukaze leaves for a different country, many will follow, his party/guild especially and they would've lost a valuable resource
there are so many ways lawyers could spin this and bury them long before a trial, even if she does TRY to sue, the judge will instantly just throw it because of how stupid it is

She got the job on a whim and she lost the same job on a whim. My point is that her actual actions didn't cause the events to play out. She wasn't the person who retired the MC. It was the man who she was cheating with. Thus it doesn't feel satisfying when she gets punished for his actions. If the boss fired her for cheating, her cheating caused a huge scandal for the company and or we were given prior evidence that she was incompetent at her job then it would be more satisfying.

Additionally, the sue line was more about how the boss would still fire her even if she sued rather than the boss thinking that she had no legal grounds to sue.

Her actions did cause it tho, for one she cheated on MC, her boyfriend to make his girlfriend feel better retired him on the spot
She wasn't the person who retired the MC.
you really think people care about that?
It was the man who she was cheating with. Thus it doesn't feel satisfying when she gets punished for his actions.
?? the boss saw MC as her own child, MC is quite literally equivalent to the country's national treasure if not just as important as the prime minister because of how strong he is.

If the boss fired her for cheating, her cheating caused a huge scandal for the company and or we were given prior evidence that she was incompetent at her job then it would be more satisfying.
it won't because the person she cheated on was the country's strongest adventurer, the value in people is so vastly different that it doesn't even compare

Additionally, the sue line was more about how the boss would still fire her even if she sued rather than the boss thinking that she had no legal grounds to sue.
irrelevant, the law would still punish her because her actions along with her boyfriends lead to the FORCED retirement of a valuable human resource for the country
There are MANY reasons why a country would side over the most valuable human resource vs some cheating woman and her now soon to be jobless husband

MY POINT is that it is unsatisfying that (an admittedly bad) character got unjustly punished compared to what her actions were. The fucking guy who she cheated with ONLY got a demotion and it was HIM who fired the MC. The story could have handled this plot point better if either Kaori was more active in firing the MC or if the boss focused more on the cheating aspect.

That information only became relevant this chapter. In fact Maria's view on the MC feels like a rushed justification to fire Kaori. If this were better written then there would be at least some more build up between the MC and the boss.

The MC is valuable in his sector sure. However, the story doesn't treat him like a national treasure considering how ignorant of him the average citizen is.
it won't because the person she cheated on was the country's strongest adventurer, the value in people is so vastly different that it doesn't even compare
It doesn't matter that the MC was the country's strongest adventure because, judging how most of the random characters treat him, the general public doesn't know nor care. The company wouldn't get any significant negative press over it compared to any other cheating scandal.

Two things: First, I don't think you understand the law if you think that someone losing their job over actions (in which neither broke the law nor were directly commited by them) doesn't grounds for a wrongful dismissal lawsuit case. Secondly, it is relevant because IT IS THE BOSS' POINT! The boss KNOWS that there is no legal reason to fire Kaori but is doing it anyways because she's that mad.

she bears the same responsibility, in the first place he wouldn't have been forcibly retired had she not invited her boyfriend to the place he wasn't invited to go

you do realize this is only phase one of them falling down right? why are you so in a hurry to assume this is the end of their suffering? this is a revenge manga 2nd, stuff like this ALWAYS has levels to the downfalls of the people who wronged mc, your first mistake was assuming early on that, that's it, that's not the fault of the author
That information only became relevant this chapter. In fact Maria's view on the MC feels like a rushed justification to fire Kaori. If this were better written then there would be at least some more build up between the MC and the boss.
yeah so what if it became only relevant this chapter? it's good they went straight to the point and just said it as it is, there doesn't need to be build up for something that you could just as easily tell in 1 chapter
The MC is valuable in his sector sure. However, the story doesn't treat him like a national treasure considering how ignorant of him the average citizen is.
It's clear that the general populous not knowing who he is, is by design, this is to preserve not only his privacy but for him to be able live life normally, also what kind of idiot just lets everyone know who their top dog is that can clear dungeons so fast? are you okay? you do realize if that info was public, forget the fans, he'd have entire countries scouting him if not want him dead to make Japan's standing weaker.

It doesn't matter that the MC was the country's strongest adventure because, judging how most of the random characters treat him, the general public doesn't know nor care. The company wouldn't get any significant negative press over it compared to any other cheating scandal.
it actually does, because they can just say that MC was forced to retire because of her and still keep his identity secret, locked with an NDA for his identity which I'm sure is the case.
Two things: First, I don't think you understand the law if you think that someone losing their job over actions (in which neither broke the law nor were directly commited by them) doesn't grounds for a wrongful dismissal lawsuit case.
oh i actually do, there's already a wrongful termination done recently in a live service game, also what do you mean neither broke the law? did you forget that the terminal used wasn't even supposed to be there? the boyfriend actually did break the law and the company's rules, he for one forcibly abused his authority to just randomly terminate an adventurer he didn't like. I don't think you're very smart, please re-read chapter 1
Secondly, it is relevant because IT IS THE BOSS' POINT! The boss KNOWS that there is no legal reason to fire Kaori but is doing it anyways because she's that mad.
it's irrelevant, either way she'll still get away with it because the person involved was just that important to the country.
