It is a nice note that MC does point out that she needed to still have some function in her legs, rather than be fully paralized or smt like that, showing that the stat boost isn't some purely magical cure-all, but something to supplement proper functions. There's prob also like actual healing medicine in this world i'd think, but maybe pricey or smt, I forget the exact background setting this world has in terms of how adventurers work

Agreed. That was a good detail. This isn’t some instant cure but rather just a means of enhancing what’s already there. That’s certainly a lot more practical and again, I’d charge into a dungeon to make it happen!

Yesss! I love this arc. It's a much better face-slapping situation than Arc 1, and it sets up the "politicians vs adventurers" plotline (hence the "don't praise him, he's an adventurer" comment)

Also kinda disappointed he is going to heal her legs. I don't think I've ever seen a wheel chair bound person as a main character in a manga. I'd much rather see her overcome obstacles in a way that could happen in real life. Waving a wand to fix someones disability just seems disrespectful.

It's been a minute since I read the web novel, and it may change in the Manga even if I am remembering correctly, but I think she does remain in a wheelchair. She just gets a mana powered one and basically uses it for high speed jousting.

Again, I could be remembering wrong and/or the manga could change this.

Edit: Just checked, I was right. The ultimate goal is to heal her legs with mana stones, but it's a long term goal and short term he gave her a modified wheelchair made for adventurers and she uses it as a "steed" to do jousting style combat. As far as I read (through v4) she was still in the wheelchair

Damn people in that country are really dicks to adventures even though is thanks to those adventures that they have electricity and can enjoy their daily lives, hope they suffer heavy shortages in the future so they learn to appreciate more the people risking their lives for them.

Well it is not so surprising. Look up burakumin and how japan treats those people. Butchers for instance fall under that category too. Would you talk smack against your local butcher despite providing a vital service to the community?

I assume they see adventures like burakumin too in this world. Even though, they provide a vital service to Japan they are still treated like shite.

You might think the Japanese government would spin up the propaganda machine to put the adventures in a better light. The guild might be missing out recruitment wise on people not becoming adventurers because of the stigma. They already lost our guy because of low level scrubs within the Guild messing with him. And this dude was despite being anonymous a top level adventurer. Imagine how they treat your average adventurer.

I'm surprised there aren't any adventurers crashing out and wrecking shit.
