Their basically old fashioned fools who are pushing the message that "Leveling Up" is just mutanting your body and Adventurers are mutants and/or Potential Criminals! They even PAY/BRING IN Adventurers or have their own meant to cause trouble! Basically the "cause the problems, so we CLAIM to have the solution

There's also the fear that monster parts and such are "dangerous for the environment! Since this stuff started in Reito's youth, everyone has been moving AWAY from "Old Energy" like Electricity, you get the idea, it's far easier AND SUPER CHEAPER and remember, this started when Reito was YOUNG, so now a days all energy consumption is prepared around THIS

Eventually the framing and propganda get them seats in the Diet, including the PM position and they start a campaign of destroying the lifelihood of Adventurers and known asociates/family of known Adventurers as well as SHUT the guild down and ban adventuring and monster hunting "for civilians!" The former is a hope to turn them into a Criminal Class that you know politicians LOVE since they can push the blame and shit unto them......and their BIGGEST FUCK UPS are they end TRADING in Monster Spoils and shit with other countries and try to put the systems of energy BACK to the old systems I mention

Energy Bills go to the ROOF because as I said, "Energy Consumption is HIGH and the Energy of Monster Parts BEATS OUT Electricity" trying to match that with Electiricty "won't work" and well, you ever seen a politician BEG PEOPLE to lower their energy consumption! Never works when one TRIES since no one is going to do that! So the Bill comes due

Ultimently the Anti-Party get HUMILATED and problems rise up that eventually they start getting voted out and sentiments for the old system start to make a comeback!

Reito convinced all associates, adventurers and their families to move out the country till this blows over ESPECIALLY once the Anti-Party won seats and he saw the writing on the wall. And once it does, Reito basically Privatizes the Guild, as it was leaving it in government hands that you got those like "Arseface" who stole his Ex and that Receptionist and well as that ANTI-ADVENTURER NATURE! Can you Imagine the people meant to help you "looking down on you and being as unhelpful as possible with few exceptions!" By Privatizing, the Government can no longer stick their noises and politics into Guild and Adventurer activity unless they REALLY warrant it! Hell the Clerical Staff HAVE TO AT LEAST BE C-RANK ADVENTURERS TO EVEN GET A JOB WORKING IN THE GUILD! Better to have people who have "lived the life supporting you then Normies who listen to propaganda despite seeing YOU, said adventurer ever day! This among many things and the RETURN of what was pushed back starts HEALING the damage.

But well a CERTAIN ANTAGONISTIC SCIENTIST TYPE that I'm Still waiting for the story to show, he was brought in by the Anti side early in the story, and his "for Science" behavior starts causing ALOT of problems and deaths Reito and everyone will have to deal with! He can care LESS for the Anti-side, he only got involved for funding and their willingness to let him do as he wishes if it helps them which is a BIG MISTAKE as he SAW their failure coming and is on the loose STILL causing problems once the INCIDENT with their Economy and shit I just mention happen as now you have a MAD SCIENTIST making monsters and shit loose and VERY GOOD at "Exit Stage Left" before anyone catches sight of him, or him himself! Dude is fucking Professor Hojo from Final Fantasy 7 to give you an idea of his mind set and evil! He's the story's most RECURRING Antagonist

I mean it's fair. If your kid on a wheelchair suddenly told by a random guy to follow him and do something dangerous, even if your kid tell you she wants this, you wouldn't just let her go.

Obviously she is not her parent, she is only an employee, but her jobdesk is basically to be her substitute parent. Since it's a job anyway, if your employer gives you his guarantee for this "random guy", then he is no longer a random guy but a trusted individual.

Actually it can happen, for one with the whole "anti-Adventurer" bias going strong and ignorant from the masses! The only ones who know of Reito are those who worked with him, or in the know! Otherwise his ZERO identity is known more then he is

A group of adventurers use this fact to try to exploit young adventurers! Basically do what the Director was cautious about Reito doing to Shion before she got a clear idea of his identity! They pop up around Reito's THIRD Disciple, who will be male which was likely cause the writer realized he was giving Reito TOO MANY younger female disciples! This one is based on the "asshole wanting to get with the girl the guy likes, conspiraces to get him kicked out the group" trope! Only just as the guy is being trained abit by Reito, the girl in question left IMMEDIATLY and joined his party! Turns out in a subversion, the second the Asshole tried to lie about his REMOVAL for being Weak, the girl INSTANTLY saw through asshole, and pointed out the sneaky methods he used just to try and WIN HER only assured she saw him as 100% untrustworthy and in Adventuring, NOT being able to trust the guy/girl next to you can be a death sentence! (Which funny enough gets SHOWN during the completion of Reito's Ex's final downfall[ before her atonement/redemption arc begins!) And best part was reminding him ALSO they formed the group IN THE FIRST PLACE because they were ALL newbies and joined together to GET STRONGER, so that "banished for being WEAK" had no grounds, making it MORE CLEAR since scumbag and his male friend did it because their five man group was two girls, and three guys! Both girls are not amuzed and as said, bail with the main girl in question joining with the guy shortly after Reito helps him get strong enough to go independant

But basically to fuck with the guy more, the writer has him FALL's for the "Fake Zero mentorship" scam and gets exploited, basically the fake and his group trick the younger adventurers into giving parts of their SPOILS to his group and they plan to parasite off of that! It worked because the Fake in question use to do marketing before Adventuring, so he used his old skills from that to be able to trick young adventurers, of course this DOES attract Reito's attention! But out of fairness it IS pointed out that those suckered never really CLARIFIED that was Zero other then CLAIMING HE WAS. (and not suspecting WHY the World's TOP Adventurer would be demanding parts of Dungeon Spoils as payment for his lessons to NEWBIES I think should have indicated something was UP) but I believe it was said the waste of time was a BIG MORALE DOWNER for the Asshole once he realized he got scammed, not to mention in a short amount of time, the 3rd Disciple LONG surpassed him and he and the other guy likely WOULDN'T have been scammed and screwed had they NOT been "thinking with the thing between their legs and trying to get 3rd Disciple kicked from their short term group, as said, their actions only got them HUMILATED, and NO GIRLS because it was OBVIOUS when they chased 3rd Disciple off that they /SPOILER]

But something that was FORESHADOWED better in the novel, but hasn't FULLY SHOWN UP YET in the manga other then "what lead to the ANTI-ADVENTURER BEHAVIOR OF THE THREE STOOGIES WHO FUCKED WITH REITO BACK IN CHAPTER 1 behavior!"

There is a Political Party who are VERY anti dungeon and adventurer! They are the ones PUSHING the hatred and ignorance towards both those things and are the REASONS the ignorance WEAKENS the Japanese Guild Branch! Their political aspirations is to take major seats in the Diet and EVEN the PM seat and BAN EVERYTHING, going back to JAPAN "before the Dungeons and all this ever appeared" claiming Adventurers are CRIMINALS AND MUTANTS the latter cause of the LEVELING UP perks! And the Monster parts and dungeon resources used in every day life is DANGEROUS and everyone needs to desert it and go back to the "good ole way of things" and as for the FORMER, they are PAYING some ACTUAL CRIMINAL Adventurers to start up trouble to JUSTIFY the imagine that Adventurers are ALL criminals! It's this shit which was why as I said, Reito's Ex, her cheating partner and the Receptionist all felt JUSTIFIED in mistreating him, the first and third even BELIEVING they were "helping Reito go make something of himself by COSTING HIM his career ignorantly" in the classic "they can care less that their actions will black mark his job records defeating the PURPOSE of what they were trying to do, they just saw themselves as BETTER then him....before their humbling showed them otherwise!

They are idiots who basically near RUIN Japan when they DO get what they want around the mid-point of the story when they DO get those seats mentioned in the Diet! And the worse spot, they are the ones who ended up ALLOWING the Story's only REAL ANTAGONIST, an Evil immoral mad scientist to sneak into Japan and start wrecking HAVOC with his experiments as the man is basically "Hojo from Final Fantasy 7" with how immoral and "for science" he is! He becomes a recurring threat through the story through his unethical experiments haunting the heroes when they come across them! HELL he actually KNEW the Anti-Political Party were DOOMED and just used them to sneak into Japan and get his "Early funding for his experiments" as he planned to BAIL ON THEM before their ruination to go on the run and do what he wants! He is the ONE MAJOR ANTAGONIST in the story who is "not played for laughs! A full on "Knight of Cerebus" and worse thing, they never come across him for the early and mid story he shows up as he usually isn't around or BAILS before he gets identitfied....with any in the Anti-party that know his existance being DEAD before any word of him gets out! So he's sort of a HIDDEN ANTAGONIST that Reito isn't aware of as I stopped reading abit at the mid point as he's actions have YET to have Reito run into them HIMSELF, he's experiments mostly plague his disciples, and the Receptionist & his Ex more!

The comeback around when shit hits the fan and they've suffered, it's why Reito took the chance on return to privitize the Guild as it was all those "influences" before that made the Guild toothless if not at times (receptionist and the Arseface who stole his ex) "hostile!" By removing them, no Anti-Political party that might spring up in the future will be able to rot the Guild like before do to not having EASY GOVERNMENT ACCESS like they did before and new rules make it harder for influtrators! Seriously will be impossible for ignorant PAWNS to inflitrate the Clerical Support side since they have to be adventurer's up to Rank C, and by that point, they'll not be ignorant and likely to turn on their former collegues and defect!

At his class reunion though, as he is an unknown other then being an Adventurer! It's shown with some asshole former schoolmates that the Anti-Adventurer sentiment hasn't died completely! But this could also just be ASSHOLES with overinflated egos ASSUMING he's in a dead end career cause assholes usually go to a Reunion in HOPES of mocking those they looked down on as "failures" to cover up their OWN low self-esteem and ego! At that point, Ex who is also an accomplished Adventurer AND sees their old Classmates as "herself" back before her redemption ignorantly looking down on a career that actually pays out MORE then any of their careers or her own combined and remorse as she still never truly apologized yet for what she did (never could meet him, as well as "working up the Nerve if she did!" Majorly redeems herself! Feels more like she's calling her Chapter 1 self out with them as Proxies LOL
