Main couple and "Sumika and Kanoko " in the same sentence. 🙏😭. Can't wait to see the mom too.I guess Hime just got Yano's dad approval (?). I am going to laugh my ass off if Yano's mother is another shorty like Hime, and better yet doesn't approve of her.
Still, I can wait until we get back to our main couple Sumika and Kanoko.
Thank you for the scanlation.
Actually, as far as I can recall, we haven’t seen any other characters’ families, not even Hime’s, which makes Mitsuki‘s father the odd one out. Still, something significant clearly changed in Mitsuki‘s family for her to go from living in a big, expensive house, to living in a small, modest apartment with just her father. I guess it’s fair to assume the money comes from her mother‘s side of the family. My immediate assumption is that the mother is the strict, high standards type, but who knows what she is actually like.Glad everything turned out alright. Both Yano and Hime have grown so much as characters that any conflict or misunderstanding between them is usually resolved in just a couple of pages.
Meeting the mother will be huge, wow. I wonder if there's a particular reason why we haven't seen her at all in the story so far. I hope it's nothing sad.
Yea ever since the incident where Hime tried to quit after Yano's confession, they've been pretty open with one another. The only roadblock left is addressing whatever Hime's roadblock with romance is, but we've already seen a crack in that a few chapters back when she was talking to Kanoko. So I think the developments from the last arc will guide her somehow.Glad everything turned out alright. her "roadblock" is aromanticism and frankly running the meet the parents stuff without them dating lends even more weight to the idea that their relationship is platonic/qpf in nature. their original arc was resolved, they have a functional relationship and in their functional relationship hime is getting introduced to the parents already lol. Start of this arc I believe is more indicative of her realizing her attraction is still to women and present, she is feeling desired by another for the first time and thats new for her, I'll say that it remains to be seen for the demiromantic route but a safe bet would be the character repeatedly saying they dont feel romantic love was in fact a truthful decision of the author. Specifically to depict this kind of relationship that is itself part of the Class S tradition being played with by the text. I mean they literally switch roles in the context of Liebe, yet the Liebe relationship is a mirror to how their relationship exists.Yea ever since the incident where Hime tried to quit after Yano's confession, they've been pretty open with one another. So far Yano's dad seems alright. And Yano is confident enough to introduce Hime to her mom. Now that we're bringing parents into the story I wonder if we'll tackle the topic of how different parents react to their children being in queer relationships. These are just theories for fun, but I feel like Yano (unless we're surprised soon) and Sumiko could be the ones with accepting parents. Sumika is already a gyaru and has been working at this shop for 2 years, so I'd be surprised if her parents weren't at least tolerant. Kanoko and Nene I can see cursed with conservative parents. Not wanting to go to the police after the Goeido incident could be evidence of the former not feeling safe opening up to them.
Hime is such a wild card. Were her parents or living circumstances mentioned yet? I feel like they're going to be deeply tied to her need to be loved by everyone, even at the cost of lying, now.
I would be all for an aromantic (or demiromantic) Hime. I can't be as confident as you that it WILL happen, given other manga, but personally that's actually my preferred direction for multiple reasons. One of which ties into how it plays into Liebe and Class S tradition, like you said, plus how it'd contrast the second couple who clearly DO feel both romantic and sexual attraction.her "roadblock" is aromanticism and frankly running the meet the parents stuff without them dating lends even more weight to the idea that their relationship is platonic/qpf in nature. their original arc was resolved, they have a functional relationship and in their functional relationship hime is getting introduced to the parents already lol. For real, the main couple was always Yano and Hime. Idk why their arc made you think they were the main couple but they're not, though I do understand you may like them way more. My favorite character is Yano so my favorite couple speaks for itself, but I can't and won't ignore how PEAK Kanoko and Sumika was. I hope all these girls find happiness, they are amazing girlsMain couple and "Sumika and Kanoko " in the same sentence. 🙏😭. Can't wait to see the mom too.
Whether their relationship will end up being completely romantic or not is an interesting debate to have. Personally, I lean towards the first option. While it's true that both of them have very defined positions, in Yano's case, it's 100% guaranteed that she will continue to be romantically attracted to Hime until the very end of the series, while Hime, as you rightly say, has shown small signs of a possible change in her stance recently.Yea ever since the incident where Hime tried to quit after Yano's confession, they've been pretty open with one another.
