Holy heck, it's Meet The Parents Time.

Hime ....well, it's certainly on-brand for her to insert herself like this, especially as she's trying to sort herself out where Yano's concerned. I'm glad to see that it ultimately all paid off, and I suspect it built up their relationship a bit more (both IRL and in Liebe Academy). I was very worried that something might go sideways, but it would appear that Hime has learned from her coworkers: that was some rather quick thinking on her part to spin the narrative and cover for Yano after those guests managed to accidentally guess at the reasoning behind Hime & Yano's "extra effort".
I look forward to seeing what exactly Yano pursues as she begins to look toward the future. Knowing what Hime's all about, I certainly suspect that she's going to "attempt to match" Hime's own goals--or more specifically, complement them and become a prime candidate for Sugar Momma(of sorts) for her love interest. Hime's definitely still clueless about Yano's intent and plans, but I look forward to what she thinks when she finds out (assuming I'm correct).

But I think my favorite part.....was Hime getting embarrassed at Yano telling her father about her crush, and specifically not freaking out or getting upset. That feels like such a step forward for her in how she's viewing and processing and thinking of this situationship between her and Yano, and I'm optimistic that it's a sign that she's growing more and more accustomed and...dare I say comfortable with the idea. Given how important "Meeting Dad" can be, even in this guise of fiction and acting that is the Academy, Hime being that put together about both trying to hype Yano up, and not falling apart when Yano reveals the truth about why her father was there at all--I'm very excited to see the next step when Mom comes around.

And I'm glad we finally have confirmation on why Yano is such a Tall Beauty. Very important characterization work, yes.

Thanks for the TL work as always. Always a treat when this series shows up in my Updates.

I guess Hime just got Yano's dad approval (?). I am going to laugh my ass off if Yano's mother is another shorty like Hime, and better yet doesn't approve of her.
Still, I can wait until we get back to our main couple Sumika and Kanoko.
Thank you for the scanlation.

Glad everything turned out alright. Both Yano and Hime have grown so much as characters that any conflict or misunderstanding between them is usually resolved in just a couple of pages.
Meeting the mother will be huge, wow. I wonder if there's a particular reason why we haven't seen her at all in the story so far. I hope it's nothing sad.

Unfortunately, there won't be a new chapter published in this month's issue of 'Comic Yuri Hime', so we'll have to wait another month to find out how Volume 15(!) ends. I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

Actually, as far as I can recall, we haven’t seen any other characters’ families, not even Hime’s, which makes Mitsuki‘s father the odd one out. Still, something significant clearly changed in Mitsuki‘s family for her to go from living in a big, expensive house, to living in a small, modest apartment with just her father. I guess it’s fair to assume the money comes from her mother‘s side of the family. My immediate assumption is that the mother is the strict, high standards type, but who knows what she is actually like.

OMG, Hime is probably like "...wait...We are t dating but she wants me to meet her parents!? What is going on!?"
And I can't wait to see Hime's reaction to Yano's request!
Haha
Finally main characters are back in the game with best plot ever!
Now to wait another half year for next chapter

Yea ever since the incident where Hime tried to quit after Yano's confession, they've been pretty open with one another. The only roadblock left is addressing whatever Hime's roadblock with romance is, but we've already seen a crack in that a few chapters back when she was talking to Kanoko. So I think the developments from the last arc will guide her somehow.

So far Yano's dad seems alright. And Yano is confident enough to introduce Hime to her mom. Now that we're bringing parents into the story I wonder if we'll tackle the topic of how different parents react to their children being in queer relationships. These are just theories for fun, but I feel like Yano (unless we're surprised soon) and Sumiko could be the ones with accepting parents. Sumika is already a gyaru and has been working at this shop for 2 years, so I'd be surprised if her parents weren't at least tolerant. Kanoko and Nene I can see cursed with conservative parents. Not wanting to go to the police after the Goeido incident could be evidence of the former not feeling safe opening up to them.
Hime is such a wild card. Were her parents or living circumstances mentioned yet? I feel like they're going to be deeply tied to her need to be loved by everyone, even at the cost of lying, now.

Papa seems super chill, but I have a feeling that's not so much the case for mama, and that might be where she takes that serious and closed side of hers from. Should be interesting to see, uh... Whenever the next chapter comes. Hopefully in a timely manner this time around, assuming the author isn't overdoing it.

"I told you to behave didn't I?"

Also lol, this is one of those chapters you can read a second time once you have full context. Girl really came out to her parents already and invited one to see her crush. XD XD That is beyond forward, girl is the Yuri Juggernaut.

her "roadblock" is aromanticism and frankly running the meet the parents stuff without them dating lends even more weight to the idea that their relationship is platonic/qpf in nature. their original arc was resolved, they have a functional relationship and in their functional relationship hime is getting introduced to the parents already lol. Start of this arc I believe is more indicative of her realizing her attraction is still to women and present, she is feeling desired by another for the first time and thats new for her, I'll say that it remains to be seen for the demiromantic route but a safe bet would be the character repeatedly saying they dont feel romantic love was in fact a truthful decision of the author. Specifically to depict this kind of relationship that is itself part of the Class S tradition being played with by the text. I mean they literally switch roles in the context of Liebe, yet the Liebe relationship is a mirror to how their relationship exists.

I would be all for an aromantic (or demiromantic) Hime. I can't be as confident as you that it WILL happen, given other manga, but personally that's actually my preferred direction for multiple reasons. One of which ties into how it plays into Liebe and Class S tradition, like you said, plus how it'd contrast the second couple who clearly DO feel both romantic and sexual attraction.

However, if that's the case there is still a "roadblock", and that's Hime understanding herself. What it means to be a/demiromantic and how romantic feelings can differ from sexual ones. Currently her plan is still to marry a rich man, which was reiterated just 2 chapters ago, and that obviously wouldn't be a healthy ending. Whether she ends up demi or plp with Yano, I do think abandoning the "rich man" plan and being close to Yano is still the direction the story is developing.

For real, the main couple was always Yano and Hime. Idk why their arc made you think they were the main couple but they're not, though I do understand you may like them way more. My favorite character is Yano so my favorite couple speaks for itself, but I can't and won't ignore how PEAK Kanoko and Sumika was. I hope all these girls find happiness, they are amazing girls

Whether their relationship will end up being completely romantic or not is an interesting debate to have. Personally, I lean towards the first option. While it's true that both of them have very defined positions, in Yano's case, it's 100% guaranteed that she will continue to be romantically attracted to Hime until the very end of the series, while Hime, as you rightly say, has shown small signs of a possible change in her stance recently.

Not to mention that a status quo like the current one simply wouldn't work in the long, long run between them; that's simply unrealistic. And Yano ending up with any another girl from the manga (I've read comments suggesting as an option someone who isn't even part of the main cast) is, in my opinion, simply impossible. I suppose time will tell.
