okay for a few chapters now I was starting to wonder if this was gonna go down the GL path afterall, so glad to see that being restored

regarding poly discourse:
I try not to hop into comments too too often, so maybe I'm missing some instances, but I feel like when I see people talking about poly, it's usually on series that actually have it as potential. like there's 3 currently publishing gay harem stories where the protag has an even connection with all the others, so it's weird to not imagine a poly end (the straight harems of my teen years always had a clear bias towards 1 girl)

and also one of those 3 is written by suzuki-senpai who regularly writes poly, so a non-poly resolution seems absurd to me

that said, there was clearly poly discourse here, and I hadn't yet felt that from the story, so maybe I've just managed to miss it. but what I did see here just registers to me as copium, and it strikes me as completely harmless discussion. no one needs to engage in it if they really don't want to

Did NOT see that plot twist coming. So Ruriko can notice a little kid crying and comfort and inspire her but has no trouble abandoning one of her daughters just because the other has a better singing voice.

I KNEW IT. I THOUGHT I WAS CRAZY BUT MY HYPOTHESIS WAS RIGHT! Something in my gut told me that perhaps, JUST perhaps, maybe Ruriko is Yuuri and Miyuki's mother. It feels so great to have my suspicions confirmed aaaaahh! I wonder how this will go on though.

Especially for Haru. Once Miyuki comes back, what might happen between her and Yuuri? Especially the build up and development that their relationship has had. And more importantly, how would Haru react upon knowing that Ruriko is Yuuri and Miyuki's mother?

As a matter of fact, does Yuuri even know that her mother is Ruriko? Or is Ruriko perhaps living one of those double sided lives where even her own family doesn't know of her status.

This opens up for very very very interesting character dynamics. Maybe even acting as a challenge for both Yuuri and Haru regarding their relationship.
