Looking at it now, it makes me wonder why ANY of the Elite 4 (plus Kujo) even bother to listen to Kou. The little guy is basically a twig. He's got no power, no strength, no anything. Any of the E4 could crush him with a single forehead flick. I'm sure his #1 butt buddy Gourai is the strongest defense, but when that masked monster is out of the picture, what does Kou have left? Nothing.

I eagerly await two things; revenge for End Mask and Kou's slow, painful, and violent downfall.

The guy has the top surgeons, he might have superior endmen muscles hidden under. We don't know if he's strong or weak. Besides, his guards have weapons and are selected specifically for loyalty

There has to be something else this isnt just the result of some psychotic social contract keeping him in power.

I like that everyone's progress into an endman looks so different.
That god of death that sent them all out on this mad quest has got to be up to something nuts to justify all this.

He is in a great position to get enderman muscle upgrades while training in all types of fighting with the best of the best albeit they will break him again and again but that's already the bread and butter of the manga since chapter 1

Must be some resident evil type stuff where he can transform on a whim into a colossal monster otherwise I can't see why all these muscle freaks would be wrapped around his finger

Im pretty curious about what Kou has keeping him in power(probably related to the entrance to the next stage of the mountain) but Im more wondering how our hero will survive the absolute torture he's about to receive

I’d say Kou could probably reach the summit, but Kou enjoys the power and status in the afterlife more. While having powerful allies is cool, Kou has the undying loyalty of dozens of people... not one of them ever actually revolted. Weaklings revolt, but Kou filters for loyal people.

Kou doesn’t have even an inch of Endman transformation at all. They wear bandages across their entire body, have a Frankenstein‑style bolt in their neck, and have black eyes.

I mean, I’m not sure, but maybe Kou is already a full Endman in terms of flesh but still has a human brain. I have no clue.

Kou holding his position could also have to do with logistics. As much as people love a pure strength based hierarchy. Bean counters are very necessary for a society that large. Keeping everything in line and organized in such a crazy world is a strength all its own
