thank you!!! and yeah i do, its been on hiatus for a few months (yamashita said on twitter she, fittingly for the story, hit her own writer's block and will finish it when she feels like she can), but whenever she's back to it i'll be happy to finish that off!

Something that this chapter touches on that I wish more people realized so that, even if a series was axed, that doesn't diminish the quality or value of it. Just because it didn't resonate with enough people to become successful doesn't mean that it resonated with no one, that it won't resonate with you. Two series from WSJ I absolutely adore are PPPPPP and Green Green Greens (repetition goes crazy), with the former delving deeply into what "helping someone" truly means, and the latter playing with the concept of personal success even in the face of actual failure. Both of these series were axed, but I still consider them absolutely wonderful works that I recommend to everyone here, and I hope their unfortunately premature endings don't deter you from experiencing them or any other axed series out there.

Shueisha is an expert on axing series. Two on Ice, Goze Hotaru, Existential Unplugged, Beat and Motion, Blue Proustian Moment, Blooming Love, Acting Out... There are so many axed series I adored.
To model a "villain"/rival based on Milton's Paradise Lost for a figure skating series (Two on Ice)? Classical philosophers reincarnated as rockers in modern-day Japan (Existential Unplugged,)? These two series blew my mind.
But the ones I was most sad to see get axed were Goze Hotaru, Blue Proustian Moment, and Acting Out.

Man, remembering PPPPPP makes me quite sad because of how visible the mangaka's anger in the ending.
