But true Sureyon has skills. I keep flipping back and forth on this chapter by Yoil and Sureyons intros, its so good and showing both of them to be skilled as there team centre's.

Question is if she and Yoil both make the debut team can they get along? I see Wonjin becoming the leader, but Sureyon dislikes Izumi and Yoil. And she has an inferiority complex with Wonjin.

Thats true and kinda what the producer said, it takes a lot of talent for a dancer to play Odette. Idols aren't the sme as ballerina though both jobs are pretty brutal.

Suryeon finally got to shine a bit lol. We had only seen her being abrasive or struggling so far. Though it looks like she's right back to struggling haha.

Question is if she and Yoil both make the debut team can they get along? I see Wonjin becoming the leader, but Sureyon dislikes Izumi and Yoil. And she has an inferiority complex with Wonjin.

Isn't Yoil pretty much guaranteed to be the center of the debut team if she debuts on it? That was the whole point of telling her to learn stuff from Iruha who was supposed to be the center before going solo.

I think this chapter really hammered the comparison between Yoil and Suryeon's characters. While they're both hard workers and talented, Yoil is also an excellent team player and communicator/mediator, while Suryeon is anything but, and she's overly individualistic. And that is reflected in the overall team's performance and will probably end up backfiring in her solo performance.

But I did love the parallels in this chapter Yoil/Sureyon and Iruha. Yoil isn't afraid to be hated for what she says if its for the benefit of others.

Sureyon isn't like Iruha, she has a stronger mentality but she's a worse communicator, the fact she can't trust people is a huge problem.

Yoil said before she doesn't hate her, because she reminds her of how she used to be as Sanghyun.

Some of the names are written differently depending on the translation. If not nicknames help. Plus Korean names aren't super easy Izumi can tell you that

Bitch A, Bitch B, Mommy Yuyeon, Narcascits Legend, Kiki, Dabi, Iruha, Yoiru, Producer Guy, Coach.

Some characters with western names like Olivia and Courtney are a bit easier to remember because its more familiar. Its why some countries still have traditional names and English names.

Yoil 99% will pick a girly song in order to prove Producer Gu wrong in his assessment of her. She is err.... "bold" enough to want to show Producer Gu wrong, that she is infact skilled enough to be able to portray both the black swan and the pink swan at the same time (or whatever analogy that producer Gu meant by that). Having come to terms with her personal self and how she approaches femininity to choose out of her own free will to pick and stellarly perform a girly dance number. I guess that's a part of MC's personality, I like the MC for not being a total cardboard in terms of characterization. He does have a tiny bit of attention-seeking and egotistic streak (stuff that is actually a pro in the idol industry) while still being a generally nice lovely personable traits he has ontop of it.

I hope this is the case. It's kind of funny.

wait... did i really say that? i have no recollection of it...

i don't think she's just a comic relief, well... yeah, mostly the time she's shown is just her being silly, but i would say she feels more alive than suryeon (not that i mean literally) and i think she has more chance to debut than suryeon.

well for western people, it might be hard but i think chinese names are harder to remember... all i can remember is most of their name has ting, chen, yu.

most likely, but it's cuz of the group was originally tailored to match lee ruha vibes and now that she's decided to go solo... they have to find her replacement which is highly possible it's yoil, now whether yoil will match lee ruha vibes and keep up with the company original requirements is highly unlikely. you know the pd prefer yoil with glamorous vibe instead of just copying someone. as for why sanghyun wanted to learn from lee ruha is because of the acting stuff and yoil's previous team song is lee ruha's so i would say that's purely by chance... and that's what i call MC's power.
