I figured the elves would come back but I didn’t expect them to come back immediately after Bai Ji won.

Considering how the elves felt more antagonistic then the Octopus I was hoping they wouldn’t be forgotten.

We are actually almost near the end, I say about 500 chapters unless they include Side Stories from the novel which again would reach the amount you mention

This chapter adapts Volume 12 Chapter 26-27(Part 1) nothing been change much except Tina being in this scene and telling Bai Ji that she was never with Lin and don’t ever remember taking Lin for a walk outside which already signify that the Tina we saw in that chapter was actually MuXing/Twilight Star herself posing as Tina with Lin, also the shadow figure from that chapter must have been her. The differences that seem to have done here is nerf Bai Ji alittle bit because in the Novel, Bai Ji still have some trump card left against MuXing but instead we end the chapter with Gordon helping out to stop Muxing from getting to Bai Ji, For those who are wondering why Bai Ji can’t fight back once a Devourer consumed another Devourer for power it takes time to digest their powers or essences during that time the Devourer that won will be in a weak vulnerable state that require time to digest and recover. This was the reason why MuXing attack now, not only is Sin Lord gone but Bai Ji was also currently too weak too fight since she had just eaten Sin Lord. Also the Silver knife backstab looking different compare to Sin Lord versions but it suppose to be the same type of knife that is lethal for draining your abilities and power in the novel. Same one that was use during the Vampire rebellion arc but they change the design of it. In the Novel when Muxing showed herself Huo Lei asked if she is the Elf Queen where she tells she prefer the name Mu Xing/Twilightt Star follow by Gordon realizing what was really going on why he sense something was wrong despite winning against Sin Lord

Honestly yeah I’m a bit disappointed with how quick paced it’s been where it’s not letting things simmer for a little just immediately into the next big thing

Without letting the arc feel like it’s come to a decisive end or more satisfying conclusion

I also think the Sin Lord was underwhelming because of it and I don’t know if the novel built him up better or not

Since from what I read so far the Manhua does cut quite a few things

Yea for a Villain that was hyped up so much since early chapters it really shocking to see him lose this fast and easily, being shoved away for Mu Xing instead and some other threats that probably could come in the future 🤔

Why does Bai Ji keep getting backstabed by people close to her 😭 first it was Kerr as Lilith killing Bai Jin & now Lin stabing Bai Ji again with the same sneak way or method as what Kerr did, I was quite shock when I saw this happened in the Novel while reading ahead so it crazy to see this happen again now in Manhua form 4-5 weeks later

If nothing goes wrong then we should take about 7-8 chapters before we see Bai Ji again after next 1-2 upcoming chapters because from the Novel with the pictures I provided right here Bai Ji will be missing from Chapter 28 Part 2 to Chapter 40 around 11-12 chapters so yea for those who see this spoiler message bare with it Bai Ji will return, depending on how fast the Manhua decided to go to we might even see Bai Ji early again in 6 chapters or even 5
