Maybe she believes that society needs a wake up call. Demons are busy planning their return, yet the humans aren't ready at all.If the house mother knows what the demons are planning why doesn't she stop them or report them? And the "protein powder" is just straight up steroids. Foiling the demons plan is as simple as just telling the king and having him order the school to not take out the relic.
There are better ways to do a wake up call than letting potentially hundreds of kids die. I think the author is just shit at writing. Most people don't even know the demons still exist.Maybe she believes that society needs a wake up call. Demons are busy planning their return, yet the humans aren't ready at all.
Letting hundreds of kids die is a pretty motivating factor in rearming in preparation against demons. That is, if said demons don't get slapped by some incredibly buff women before anything can happen. There are better ways to do a wake up call than letting potentially hundreds of kids die. If you allow the death of literal kids because it would be a "great motivator" for the people to wake up, you are even worse then then demon folk. Just talk to the MC who is a fucking princess or the king himself. Just telling them to the overall plan concerning the relics are enough. It is bad writing UNLESS there is a defense setup going on in the background ON TOP of MC and co getting trained.Letting hundreds of kids die is a pretty motivating factor in rearming in preparation against demons. I think she's just supposed to be an aloof character. it's just that the author doesn't understand the difference between aloof and purposeful negligence. I think it just comes down to the author being shit at writing. There's a difference between a mentor character purposefully letting the main character deal with an issue alone to help them grow and a mentor character just not giving a fuck and letting potentially hundreds of people die for no reason.I wonder if she's a non-human of higher order? A high elf? An angel? She knows what will happen but wont stop it?
