Ah, so while we do have a proper villainess in this one, the author is making her look better by making the saintess an egotistical piece of crap that sits back and plays her romance game while people are dying.

A bit disappointed, since that removes the moral ambiguity from this story.

It's just the norm with these sort of series, there is only one series I can recall but not name that had the main heroine not be vehement scum.

Agreed! I had hoped she'd use scandals and rumours against them, not just... work honestly against a disinterested saint.
Oh, I am sure she will do that, chapter 1 implied that quite heavily, but it might have been a bit more interesting were the saintess an actually good person caught in the crossfire, akin to what happened in MC's first life.

This way this story will have to try hard not to be a less interesting version of "The one within the Villainess" (which just is the absolute gold-standard for these stories; you have to bring your A-game to compete with it on its own ground) or "Super-Dreadnought" (which started really good, but botched the finale of the initial story badly).

Ehh I will let her cook. Having the villainess be actually capable and good has been done before, but it's usually just said, not shown. If she is basically surrounded by assholes that treat her like she is just uppity, it will be delicious if the story has compelling narratives for how she fights back.

Kinda sucks that the heroine isn’t a normal girl. Would’ve been more enjoyable to callout the over reliance on one person, regardless of their strength.

Why can't we just have a properly evil mc? Why does the author always have to go out of his way to have the ogfl also be a reincarnated and be a shitty egotistical person? If you don't want to write a villain main character don't write a story about a villain main character. It's that simple.

The moment it's revealed that the summoned saint is a terrible person, my interest wanes... If this is just a manipulative/do-good-with-ulterior-motive villainess vs a bitchy heroine, then how is this any different from "The One Within The Villainess"? Especially since that one already made a high bar to reach.

Let's see if she is. Right now she believes she's been reincarnated into a love story. Otherwise she's a normal girl as of right now who got transported into a story she's read before as one of the characters. If she goes full ho like One Within, then we can judge. We need to wait and see.

Given how easily FL was able to look up the cure, and find the herb is apparently abundant, it really feels like the kingdom's first resort to a disease is just summoning someone from another world. I guess when that's an option why not? But I will now assume the kingdom just does this on a regular basis, probably every few years when its a bad cold season.

Would like to see a proper heroine who could actually stand against the proper villainess for once. But I guess this won't be it.

Thanks for the hard work o7

It is pretty standard yeah. I can think of a couple with the villainess mc and the heroine being good but neither is an isekai heroine iirc. If you include male mc manga with the villainess mechanic theres also a couple. Theres also when the reincarnator isnt the heroine but usurps the position anyway displacing the original heroine.

PS. Her father better get whats coming to him for that dirty move.

Kind of a shame the heroine is "nerfed" compared to her canon counterpart. It's less sporting to get a leg over on her now.

Oh well. All Cassandra has to do is thrive now.

And there goes my faith of the "heroine" being a decent person.
Oh well, do your best Miss Villainess and take down those who sought to wrong you.

Why is the villainess got buffed while the heroine got nerfed? Letting the heroine be as it is would've been more interesting. The MC and OG heroine didn't have to be friends, just a struggle for MC to survive the hostile situation she is in and for heroine to endure the harrassment, like the original plot. It would introduce some grey area instead of simple black and white.

The father implementing her policy and recommending the prince do the same nationwide doesn't strike me as him stealing her credit - it's the reasonable action to take.
It's not like he said 'I'll take the credit', and just because they put a spooky background behind him when he said he'd implement the policy doesn't mean he had any ill will behind it... well, that'd be the common sense, but since this is a comic, I'm sure that IS exactly what it means, haha. :dogkek:
