I am debating reading this one, on a scale of 1 to 10(10 being "i need bleach for my brain") how dark does it get?
Also a follow up question on the tags, is the absence of a SV tag accurate? Or am I misunderstanding the premise of girls renting themselves? I'd like to know what I'm getting into before I start if possible

I'm at chapter 3 and this is already annoyingly incoherent. Another author that doesn't even try to hide that he has no respect for his readers.

Ok, as someone that's binged it the past few days, do not sleep on this series. On the surface, the series may seem just about rental girlfriends and what they have to put up with, but it's much deeper, grittier, and emotional than that.

There's no SV that I recall or even nudity. The worst thing might be a character with self harm scars.

It's fairly realistic and generally depressing.

The first girl and overarching MC does not do any sex work. Some others do.

It's not unhinged like Boy's Abyss or anything like that. I've read a lot of manga (400+) and I'm struggling to think of something like this one that doesn't go off the rails. This is one is pretty restrained.

Thanks, I ended up taking the plunge on this series shortly after asking about it here and on r/manga and it's an interesting take on things. It really does hit that realistic, depressing feeling quite well. You can see how these characters ended up doing what they're doing and all the ups and downs of their lives.
