Man, this manga is the closest we'll get to a true To Love-Ru successor down to the ecchi, the harem plan, the genderswapping character and achieveing galactic peace by making important characters fall into the harem. Only that it's even better because there's an actual plot and the characters like the MC because he's actually capable despite not being overpowered. Plus having a less insane amount of characters than TLR means the author can do a much deeper portrayal of them. Hell, even the suggestive scenes feel way less gratuitious due to there being an actual reason the characters don't have much clothes. The realistic (yet still fantasy) survival plot is an absolute master stroke.
It is absolutely fucking PEAK. That you can create such a gem by putting To Love-Ru and an Outdoor Boys playlist into a blender and the fact that one author was based enough to do it and an editor was based enough to approve it is the kind of stuff that makes this medium worth keeping up with even though most manga are cookie cutter trend chasing garbage.
This is unironically among the best if not the best manga of this sort I have ever read unless it drops the ball hard. It's a huge surprise because I thought this type of manga had died out after teh 2010s (though this is still very toned down compared to To Love-Ru and similar from that era, but it is what it is). Also, it is an original manga so it releases often and there's no risk of it being an advertisement for something else.
Ater sifting through piles of utter trash to find it, it's really the sort of manga that seems too good to be true.
By the way, is the line about having grown as pretty much an orphan the first time we have gotten some info on Daichi's life or am I having a brainfart?
Honestly I prefer the brother over her any day, her personality is simply unpalatable.
She's my favourite character by far at the moment. Her schemes are always hilarious plus her and her brother have the most fleshed out backstory and interesting dynamic so far. Also, personality wise, she's really not bad. Keep in mind she's still in a "fight or die" mindset because of the war where they are the weakest side. She just seems like a bitch because her brother is a lovable absolute pushover that would have probably died long ago if it wasn't for her haha.
She'll obviously eventually come to love Daichi as well and her and the other girls will make up and sort out how to deal with the war situation. This is a happy ending for everyone type of story.
