After a quick Google search, am I right to assume whatever translated to proposal only means marriage proposal, and not some other kinds of proposal like business proposals?
Very likely yes, she's referring to marriage proposal.

Has Farma already reached a point where even his parents don't want to take the responsibility for arranging his marriage, as would be the norm among nobles? Considering all of Farma's achievements, maybe even his father, despite being so formal and proud, would feel unqualified. After all, the old man isn't full of nonsense but quite meritocratic. Success in medicine and business isn't the same as finding himself the perfect marriage partner, but with Farma so competent and mature, all in all, perhaps the parents do feel like their meddling could actually be counterproductive.

You know what to do, marry him! And just in time to interrupt that proposal. It might be a business/project proposal, but as long as she gets baited, it's all that matters.
I hope the nice lady gets checked by Farma at least and then Eleonore still does the work. It's both a nice way to learn and a good practice.

Ummmm... isn’t this LITERALLY the time where she should be like, “By getting his input on this thing I’ve been dealing with for years, it gives me both greater insight into your illness as well as a valid reason to work closely with him”? finally picked this back up after 2 years, so 2 volumes worth
covering majority of Palle's Treatment Arc and it's aftermath now.
Where I left it off, it really felt like Palle was going to die though lol. Still just a very fun and hopeful story to read. Maybe a little too optimistic and naive even at certain parts, but that does not mean it's immature in how it handles things.
In fact the story has mostly shown mature and prominent characters, in the pursuit of truth and the greater ideal of progress to save lives. Doing so highlights it's strengths as an isekai especially.
Like I still vividly remember that ending scene at the plague arc of people downplaying what actually happened and it really pissed me off and felt like a cop-out when they just ignored it instead of addressing it. But the more I reflected on it, the more it became apparent that it was actually a reminder of what the story intends to focus on.
If half of Falma's reason to exist is to pass down his knowledge to accelerate progress and save the lives of people even beyond his reach across time, this in turn parallels the author's will to execute the focus of the story, and that's the ideal of what it takes to save lives, and regardless of it's more fantastical elements, the pure and selfless pursuits is still nothing short of a miracle work.
I'll pick this up again after more volumes come again over the years I guess.
I think I like the story enough to buy a physical copy even. Having money now is awesome

At the same time, if your doctor explicitly says they don't know what's wrong with you and have only been treating the symptoms, that's a good time to at least try seeing another doctor. If the other doctor also doesn't know what's wrong with you or their treatment doesn't work, it's not like your first doctor disappeared.
