Something that annoys me in stories such as this is when the MC clearly has a defined personality BEFORE suddenly remembering they were reincarnated, and then suddenly completely changing said personality right after remembering.
If he was a selfish A-hole before remembering, he'd still be a selfish A-hole, but likely with a bit more self-awareness.
There's no way the prideful guy of before would have bowed his head, even if he did give the party to the hero of the story.

If I was the writer, I would have had the MC give the hero the party temporarily, so that the hero can 'screw up', to truly show how 'worthless' the hero is. This would save the MC's pride, and still kept his scummy attitude, even if he wasn't trying to do the right thing.
Because what's the point of having people reincarnate as a villain, if they're not villainous in the slightest degree?

Anyway, I'll still read this isekai slop, because Mr.Tastelss consumer (me) is hungry and needs to consoooom, yum yum! :dogkek:
Depends, it’s highly possible that the flow of memories was so great it caused psychological damage to him, fundamentally altering his personality

An inevitable incestuous mutation of all already mentally divergent genre.

Not that I couldn't see something like this actually gaining traction, but the author / mangaka seems almost desperate to push out ahead of the competition with a similar combination of tropes.

Just comes off feeling forced and unorganized.

A lot of people said the Japanese are running out of ideas with the weird isekais but I always found that it's actually proof of the opposite. The fact that there's always something new (even if they regress to the same stuff eventually) means there's a lot of new grounds to tread and new things to discover. They're standing on top of an absolutely free sandbox and making the most out of it, I respect that.

I mean, the Villain Reincarnation™ combined with the Party Exile™? First time seeing this. Bookmarked for the premise if nothing else.

birth of a new micro-genre? ;)

first chap did seem a bit rushed but then again we know how it's going to go so I appreciate the author getting the set-up over quickly

honestly an amusing twist on the genre. I wonder if this is gonna go the route of like my name is earl where he just tries to make up all of his wrongdoings and return the stolen skills lmao

You can view it from this angle, before he rememdered it was the character original personality, after that Lloyd died and now is the japanese man who´s in charge

Oh sure, but that's how it's always done. Why give them a defined personality if you're just going to make them go "Oh, I was japanese once... Now I'm moral and law-abiding!" :dogkek:

The villain got his body snatched by a Japanese salaryman mid speech, that's one of the most abrupt cases of mind-hacking isekai i have seen

Wonder why most iskeai never acknowledge the body stealing side of the story

Well this time it was for the best, that asshole didn't deserve his own body

A pretty novel twist on a pretty overused trope so I'll give the mangaka credit for that.

That being said story still seems like it'll be the same quality as all the usual slop ones with the same premise but I'll keep an eye on it
Yes usually it's the guy getting kicked out who protagonist and turns out they are secretly the strongest
