Well I'm not a linguist or a fluent Japanese speaker, but that seems like a conflict between the literal phonetics of the Gyaru dialect compared to standard Japanese, versus the cultural shorthand of conflating it with the Valley Girl dialect of English.
Oh yeah, to be clear, no shade thrown the TL's way, it was pretty clear the original must be aiming for gyaru style speech, considering all the focus her piercings and such get.
But my point still stands, as I'm really doubtful the way a gyaru talks is in any way close to the way the average person learning japanese speaks japanese. It was just easier to explain my point using the resulting translation.

So he likely will have her under mind control or something with his blood on her. I'm gonna guess the MC will not realize that she has his blood and will have to make a decision to kill Kira or something. Or perhaps the Vampire skill is something the MC is not aware of, but he did write in Eida's diary which acts as a save state so he will reload to the state and not have Kira fight the Vampire. If anything he might do a save state glitch where he will get the necessary items or skills needs to defeat the Vampire, transfer those over to when he wrote in Edia's diary and just kill him as soon as he enters the guild.

Alright Shachiku, I will need you to vigorously motorboat her to administer the cure. Yes, you will might get slapped into oblivion but it's for the greater good

wouldn't Chinese be much faster since they have no Hiragana and Katakana like Japanese?
why? the game is simply originally JP, so choosing another language likely just loads additional stuff on top of it (especially translated images) and makes it slower,
it was said earlier that the programming is pure spaghetti there

shorter sentences display faster since text in games is typically outputted character by character. loading additional language files is unlikely to ever cause any overhead, at worst you might get a very brief lag spike when changing the language, but the language setting would be saved anyways, and wouldn't have to be re-selected on a new file for a new run

Yep, just as feared. Shachiku might have to use that save of his if he doesn't catch on fast enough to save Kiira. Madoka's a cute gal elf.

...Whoever that elf's friend is better be quite the character, because picking up a million contractions ("y'see"), idioms ("pumped up") and mannerisms (using "like," every few words) is not something you see on someone learning a language. It's something you'd see on a native that's already intimately familiar and comfortable with a regional dialect.
As it stands the dissonance between what's being presented and what it purports to represent is annoying and immersion-breaking.

And if that friend turns out to be a scholar of some kind instead of some redneck or whatever that found her in the forest I'm going to scream.
As an ESL, I've definitely seen friends who were much better at vernacular English than formal English. I just had the good luck of preferring to read stuff, where things are usually more formally written, but those who learned languages by immersion would find vernacular language to be the 'default' state.

Heck, I still don't understand keigo but can speak like a Tokyoite because listening to streams and radio is where I learned most of my spoken Japanese.

Not saying you're wrong of course, I think the elf being in academia should prime her more to Wikipedia-sounding speech patterns instead of fully casual language like that, but I think it's also not impossible to pick up street-speak before the proper formal form of a language.

I wonder if that means it'll quit working the second he becomes aware of it?
The idea of being able to bend the world to your whims only so long as you believe that's how the world already worked naturally is actually a pretty trippy concept.

This amount of bureaucratic burden seems pretty realistic given the feats of our speedrunning king hero.

Removing that bruise from Kiira will either be a challenge for Shaciku or resolved in less than an hour.

Most games don’t offer the option.

Japanese is in reality the preferred speedrunning language, because it’s much more compact than English — fewer characters per word — and the runners aren’t actually reading anything anyway.
Also just depends a lot on the game especially ones with voice acting. There's games where french or Italian or whatever will be faster
