I actually like this idea of supplementing traditional fantasy magic with modern techniques. It's almost like innovation

I mean, the guy had some godlike entity shove his entire arm through his chest and threw him out several thousand feet in the air.

It would've been kind of a dick move for some godlike entity to not just heal him, considering that healing magic exists in the world he... manages... or whatever.

I don't see the problem with it. He just healed his arm, it's not like he grew back a missing arm or something.

It's not. It was used historically and a version of it is still used in scalp lacerations for cosmetic and healing reasons.

It's not as simple as it's shown in the manga. The hair has to be long enough, of course, and some hair is vastly better than others.

The Romans occasionally used it (although they preferred plant fiber string or linen or silk). The Chinese in antiquity commonly used horse hair.

I don't see the problem with it. He just healed his arm, it's not like he grew back a missing arm or something.

Whether or not the entity that shoved him into the new world could heal him or not doesn't change that, from a narrative standpoint and as a choice made by the real human author, I think it's less interesting that the doctor magically got his hand fixed. It would have been more interesting (to me and it looks like a decent amount of other commenters) if instead it was a narrative opportunity for interesting storytelling rather than miracle disability-gone
