I mean, that's not the worst fate they could have. No cheat skills is a bummer but at least you're not forced to risk your life on a goddess's whim. Though I guess I can image having to confront the fact that you died and everyone you knew is gone forever is upsetting.

Oh yeah, in this universe, the cheatskill-er are probably humans hidden away by the gods. Therefore, they're still alive, ergo, full of Magic Power.
These twos are crashed by trucks and basically dead. Either they'd be forever in limbo, or just have a 2nd life with non-cheat code.

The way the goddess say it is tactless and she isn't a kind goddess. But if we are being completely objective, she basically just revived them and give them a second chance at life without any caveat. Which is better than a lot of other goddesses in some isekai.

So basically, the original owners of the body died so it is theirs, and they can live in those bodies however they like. The goddess didn't have any bad intentions, but she was an ass in answering them.

If anything, from what she said, his powers are really just from being isekai'd - that a human who physically crosses the inter-dimensional boundary immediately gains vast power.

His so-called cheat powers are just things he became able to do because he's already a demigod. The goddess who brought him over probably just gave him some ideas to try out.

His abilities may only be limited by scale and imagination. We know he's as strong as a demon but we don't know what that actually means yet.

She "saved" them for the purpose of entertainment. I'd rather be dead and return to the natural cycle of life compared to what the goddess did.

So, they can't return to their own world, they have no cheat skills, and the goddess doesn't expect much from them. However, they are allowed to do what they want with their new bodies. Could be worse.
