As for my own two cents on this work: While I imagine many will linger on the depictions of disappearing minorities (and make no mistake, that is a focal point), I think this work moreso highlights the death of nationalism. The blinding light resembling the rising sun and the removal of peace at the end should make this clear. What is necessary for the nation state? What defines a nation? It's a work that asks such questions rather plainly.

One person sharing their views isn't propaganda, especially when that view is antagonistic to the rhetoric of the party in power, and the LDP sure seems to hate foreigners lately.
Japan has Black people and popular foreign cultural influences, in spite of all the racist losers trying to pretend only Japan and Japanese matter. That's, you know, the fucking point of the manga, that no country and no peoples are an island unto themselves and hypernationalism is inherently self destructive.

Japs can blame their own rich ass selfish "people" just like everywhere in the world, they are the one importing en masse for cheap labour and dumping the societal issue stemming from the locals and the imported foreign labour getting paid shit, onto the government they bribed/blackmailed .Also, due to hormuz situation, japan is already printing their chips packaging in black and white, i'd say thats pretty clever imo and the first thing that came into my mind when I read that page.
