Like others said, this was a reasonable ending given how things were between them. Not like he made any indication of having those feelings towards her. I also hope that whatever little extra is happening after this will be a timeskip.

To be Frank, the romance was here and there, not usually the focus. So it was fine to not get a time skip with the answer. The main attraction was the arcade and gambling stuff.

But I still need a time skip

Should have never been a romance, or it should have never had such a wide age gap.
Could have been a simple slice of life of friends with different ages United by gaming.

I highly recommend to everyone to wash your eyes by reading "hi score girl".

Age gap is just a mean for an author to pretend you got romance in a story without having to put actual effort into it....and that's why I am glad I didn't read all the chapters and why I wait for certain Manga to end before reading it.
