Consider also, that she may be the figurehead of this foolish peace plan but the majority of votes went her way, so she wasn't alone in her way of thinking. So yeah, I do think they're all very stupid for this.

Unless it goes back to cover the vote, a lot of context about it was skipped by the manga.

Support from her race/group is critical to the survival of the country (like managing the food supplies or something, it's been a while), so she has huge influence on the council just by threatening to pull that support; she's basically won every negotiation she's done by that fact. And she did the same again with this vote; the voting was actually against her until this.

Not all warnings can be trusted, especially when someone is trying to drag you in a war that they want to find. She had a legitimate concern.

The real problem here is that she acted on blind faith; you can't negotiate with someone you don't understand. I mean, her whole plan was: we tell them that we don't want to fight and they'll agree not to attack.

Honestly, I think she's too young, and the society she lives in - closed off, with diverse people living in peace for so long - has given her zero chance to understand what the humans could possibly want. She has no idea why wars happen and she can't even understand the concept of ethnic cleansing. Being ignorant is not a sin, but not when you don't recognise your own ignorance.

Consider also, that she may be the figurehead of this foolish peace plan but the majority of votes went her way, so she wasn't alone in her way of thinking. So yeah, I do think they're all very stupid for this.

So personally, I do have sympathy. I really don't think that was is happening to her should ever happen to anyone. I would also always be careful about blaming the victim.

Also, maybe we weren't shown how the MC argued his case, but what we saw from him was not convincing at all. I am not surprised at all that his warning fell on death ears. Of course, it's not like I expect him to be a skilled orator and debater, but personally I feel like he dropped the ball really hard here. It really isn't that hard to give examples of human wicked acts and to ask: how do you negotiate with people who just want to kill you?
The whole next chapter should be this girl getting clobbered honestly. She is far too naive to lead a group content in a video game let alone a country. Distrusting MC is one thing but trusting an approaching army is unfathomably bad leadership. Put those two things together and you have someone who has such weak survival instincts that she'd invite plagued rats into her nation because she feels bad for them.

painful to read. but the author already developed the character ayaka sogou, so suicidal self sacrifices may continue.
i just hope this doesnt descend into overextended torture scenes.
the victim blaming in the comments is suffocating.
If a person jumps off the stairs and breaks their ankles they are not a victim. She was warned, explicitly, not to do this and did it anyways.

All i thought when Pease passed on the vote is. when she is wrong, her corpse will be used as a martyr and only when the blood of peace lovers is spilt will those of war be proven correct.
And with the leopard and centaurs leaving i was was hoping that they would be miles away just so the peace group is left alone with the dread of being at a disadvantage on the negotiation table.
The showing of colors was too fast for my taste but the pace is not my choice after all.

She speaks, and the chorus of Stupid Girl starts playing in my head. She is a prime example of a defund the police protester who is surprised when there are no police around to help her when she calls for them.

"But we got rid of the ones antagonizing the people. How could crime go up?"

Simple, you got rid of the deterrent, dumbass.

As i expected
Did touka will make movement now?
They will be saved. If they weren't going to be saved the author wouldn't have had two clans making a backup plan with MC.

If the author planned to have the city suffer any major consequence every other leader who knew this wasn't going to work would have had their entire clans flee the city. The Kurosaga especially would have been smart enough to escape.

Wait, that makes her way worse. How are you gonna talk about how excellent of a negotiator you are and how negotiation will definitely work when you've had insane leverage every single time? Leverage that quite crucially you don't have against an external party? Especially when you're appealing to the better nature of others while saying that the alternative is starving and then calling it a triumph of moral goodness? That's some profound ignorance and hypocrisy at work.

Or is it just the fact that she theoretically could leave the others to starve that carries her and she neither thought of that nor threatened it and figured she was just that good? Which would still make her stupid, but less hypocritical.

negotiators and diplomats always have to carry risks coming with their profession.
the attack would have happened either way.
