That is the usual make-up of 99.99% of manga harems. Oblivious cherry boy MC plus a collection of "dere"s I love a real harem in worlds with polygamy, but when it is the type with zero happening, I really hate Japan for it.

This is probably why they created the polygamy tag, because too many harem don't go anywhere. To be honest its a pretty "recent" trend to actually have polygamy. Up to the early 2000s, Tenchi is literally the only harem I can think of that ended in polygamy. All other harems ended with either no resolution or one girl picked. Then all of sudden you got DxD, Strike the Blood, Muskou Tensei, etc. and polygamy endings became more than just Tenchi, so they started using the polygamy tag.

But yeah I no longer bother if it has harem w/o the polygamy tag to follow.

My favourites are the one's where each partner brings something different, skill wise, to the main story. they don't need to go sexual, authors can keep it clean and still have multiple partners... Like "In another world with my smartphone" . I appreciate that you can't do that in a high school in modern day Japan... well not unless they are all daemons , but you get my point.

He seems more interested in violently murdering people than getting a wife; he hasn't even shown any sexual interest in Fern. At this point, it seems that he'd only consider to get a wife to live a life that fits a normal standard.

But who knows, maybe he'll eventually show signs that he's not just a complete weirdo who lusts only for blood.
