No one 'misread', there's simply a point where the cowardly of being just "suggestive" doesn't work with the story you're actually putting up into the pages. Almost every single chapter has had a setup of "they're going to fuck RIGHT NOW oh now they got interrupted!". If they're not going to have sex why are they putting the characters into 'two seconds before sex' nearly every chapter?

It's as simple as understanding that If you're not going to have the characters fuck, don't write it as "they nearly fuck and then they don't" if you don't want people to point that out. There are plenty of series with no in screen sex that are much raunchier than this and don't leave the people feeling they're being bluebaled because they're smart enough to not write themselves that way.

Besides you can just as easily have characters have sex and still not be an Erotica, you can acknowledge the characters are fucking while never showing it.

It took until this chapter for me to look at the MC and Homura before I went wait these designs look familiar.

If the author doesn't want to draw sex that's fine, just do a cutaway gag. Birds flying from trees, small animals covering their ears shivering in fear. Whatever you want to do. Just don't have the same punchline multiple chapters in a row.

Yeah, it's pretty weird they expect sex in milder manga that's unlikely to deliver, and they get shocked and appalled each time it doesn't happen instead of tempering their expectations in the first place. This kind of silly stuff is like poison to them but they keep going for it.
