The lack of men is usually just an excuse to have few male extras, or none, and to surround MC with women.
Any sort of worldbuilding is treated by authors as optional, and I think a lot of readers don't care about it in the first place. It would be easy to write some, though - just take a bunch of old tropes and modify them a little for a familiar but unusual effect.

Eh the 1:5 ratio tries a decent amount of world building and the 1:39 has some peak goofy ass writing.
