tbh, I think Bruhilde should see Wilfred's proposal in a more positive light.
Given Rozemyne's health, there's a real risk of her collapsing again if she attends all those tea parties.
Whether she collapses or rejects invites would negatively affect her reputation & the duchy's new products.
Wilfred tanking the large chunks of those invites will reduce Rozemyne's workload when she returns

I do think Oswald is competent, stubborn AND arrogant.

His every move are based in Veronica's old ways with Wilfred future in mind.
The Archducal couple should have relieved of duty every one of Wilfred retinue when the tower incident occurred.
From here on out Oswald will only worsen.
