So I discovered recently that Philia Scans is also 'translating' (i put that loosely) this. They are even shameless enough to put volume 2 and 3 of their 'translation' behind paywall LMAO

To remind all the readers following this manga on this site, the official release is upon us soon (November) and therefore I shall cede my translation with that, so next month's chapter (Chapter 17) will be my last (really hope there'll be a conclusion to this arc by then if not I'M TERRIBLY SORRY).

Btw, I died laughing when I saw their version of this chapter... Among other stuff, the translation they had for ‘父様’ (otousama) is ‘Father-sama’ LMAO. I just can't LOL

Anyone who's paying for that kind of terribleness deserves to be scammed =.=

Anyhow, enjoy.

:oops:That seems overly excessive!

Also I really like Matteo, but the thing is, if you are given power to make a change, it's a little silly to risk yourself to prove you are good enough. If he dies being heroic then who will actually makes things better for the people of his fiefdom

a protip for the tax levying class: if your people starve to death, you're not getting any taxes off them next year.
the father seems a classic case of stupid evil in that regard.
Yeah, but, do we know if that farmer really starved that year? Or was he making a big fuss just to get tax relief even though the taxes are already calculated to be bearable even with bad harvests?
Because the father has been a “tyrant” and levying those “harsh” taxes for years, and things seem to still be okay in the domain.

Granted, we haven’t really seen much either way, but like we’ve seen from a lot of Nemu’s clients and how corpse retrieval is treated, people can be ungrateful shits.

Did someone in that platoon fuck that mage's daughter or what? Dumping an AoE on like 5 guys who are already retreating seems a bit excessive.
I'm sure the mage has their own deeply personal backstory where they've resolved to overcome the "you never follow through on things" criticism they've had their whole life. Cinnamon's opposite (Sugar?) came to retrieve them, and they said "No, I have to prove myself, can't leave this battlefield until then!"

I'm glad the guy in the last chapter wasn't the Nobleman. I thought they were gonna have a twist where the so-called brave Noble chose to desert his comrades in the Rear Guard when it going got too tough but it seems they're playing it straight.

It could be that the enemy still believes that the enemy's main force is still there given how much trouble the rearguard unit has given them

If Nemu is being accurate and it's the entire battlefield, then it's more than just the handful of them. It's the remnants of every other unit and/or platoon as well. Assuming that the mage's artillery has ensured that the entire fighting force has been ravaged and left in disarray, scattering this way and that, wiping them all out in one massive blast is arguably more efficient than continuing to rain down magic on multiple general locations.
