the manga skipped so much stuff. I took a look at novel, and this chapter alone covers roughly v1 c2 of the novel, and they straight up removed things which are important to story, like how the class teacher tells that she/other teachers are above the rules and can expel anybody they want, also removed that if a student is expelled, they die etc..., also the fact that the principal is currently the strongest person in the world and a lot more stuff was straight up removed. Maybe they just wanted to give a cliffhanger, because many things happened between page 29 and 30.
Also for some reason the MC in manga is very edgy, but in novel he's not. His inner monologue in the novel clearly shows that.

Isn't his main purpose right now to try and figure out if students are killed when they get expelled? He suspects it because of the rumors about the missing students, would be strange if the teacher straight up admitted it. Could try to trick the students into thinking she's joking since it sounds ridiculous, but doesn't feel like the kind of trope her character would use.
