i would argue this as a better ending than 99% of the big shonen manga that came and ended from the years 2008 till now. the endings of aot, mha, jjk, demon slayer, and chainsaw man all getting mogged by this if this was the ending.

I'm still confused how the slavery system works in this universe. Like, our MC seems to be the only guy who is suffering under it. Meanwhile, the other slave girls are kinda casual about it, and their parents aren't even that bothered.

that's the difference between volunteer gladiators and forced slaves. mikagami was summoned and forced into slavery whereas most his wives chose to fight in the coliseum for 1 reason or another meaning they weren't really slaves till mikagami beat them. there's like 1 or 3 that were slaves before he got them and we at least know the 1 girl with the eye patch lived a shitty life beforehand.
