The question is:
Will @BB-62 leave the current chapters here as is... or do a silent update on them once kissa releases his revision. But doing that would essentially remove the old content and in that case, the chapter comments would look pretty weird since they are an independant part and won't be deleted. Unless a moderator removes them.

I guess the proper way would probably be to either delete these two existing chapters completely, including all the related comments... or leave them be but mark them as a non-canonical what-if and put a last panel without actors but just a narrator box (or from Sou) at the end saying "thank god that never happened".

Personally, I will keep them on my local backup... you never know for what these can be useful

Yaeh I already got them in my Komga server. I guess I'll just do a decimal chapter (290.1) or something for either the new or replaced chapters.

I am curious to know, was this drama related or was it keeping sou oblivious? This story is clearly more comedic as there is another that does try to take the world more seriously. I do fully support the endeavour regardless as let's be real. If the whole sensei thing was fully done as a joke.

The amount of tourists that would slander this manga would be tumultuous as it's dark humour and people could interpret that kisa is making fun of it and I really wouldn't like to see them off social media due to harassment.

I think TL should keep the old chapters for context and to keep the comments. I'm not sure how MangaDex organizes the chapters, but if uploaders can manually set the order of the chapters, I think the rewritten chapters should come after the replaced chapters.

Personally, I would preserve that now scrapped content. Reason being it's actually fun and even if it's discontinued, it's still a good read and can be treated as a what-if omake of sorts.

So I would do this:
remove chapter 291 completely - sadly the comments for it will be gone then, but that's a small price to pay. Or ask a moderator to move them to the other comment thread once all is done. I would then append the panels from 291 to chapter 290 and put a conclusive narration text at the end, that makes this now longer chapter "290 EX" into either Erika's or Sou's delusion and have it end with "Thank god, it went differently..." the final panel would be Geako's notice here at the very end, so that readers have an official explanation of what happened.

Trust me when I say it's a pain if you've written yourself into a corner, or don't like where the story is going AFTER you've already posted the story... which again makes you end up writing yourself into a corner.

I was actually really excited because it was clearly not the kind of situation which the author could turn back from. The author was already hinting at the huge change when Sou didn't deny the perversion of women on the train ride here (his throne) nor when the front-right girl answered the teacher in no misinterprable terms that she would proposition me, the protagonist, for hardcore baby-making nakadashi sex that gives the woman a pair of triplets (2x3=6).

I said Sou cooked so hard it burned the city down, but it turns out he cooked so hard it broke into the 3rd dimension and fried the author's brain.

After reading the Spanish tl for the scrapped 292, yeah he kinda just drops the roleplay and does the good points game again when he sees her crushed self confidence. There are ways you can spin off that with his family getting mad, or ruri wanting to cause trouble, or the homeroom teacher coming back informing Erika it's time to switch classes just before she can get to the good part, but it all has the same result of just dropping this plot point and moving on. I get where Kisa sensei is coming from with the retcons and luckily it only goes back 2 chapters instead of scrapping the class observation arc entirely

Hopefully starting fresh reinvigorates the mangaka to start pumping out chapters again
