You know I'm gonna go against the grain and say Inukami is at fault not Usato. At least for their relationship. Making the excuse of faking a relationship for a specific purpose is natural going to confuse any potential partner. Now she's got negative points in the race as she'll have to clear up that misunderstanding before she can even try. She should really confess ASAP (like next chapter) to get ahead of the curve as the harem starts to creep up.
