I could be wrong, but going by what we known about class 2-C - the guards are troublesome - and their guy, Takahashi, went hikkikomori after getting messed with by Ruri (rumor, but probably true)... A guard student of that class C would probably not react so calmly because losing your protectee certainly damages her reputation as a guard. It could be that she hated him or actually doesn't care either way... and that's pretty much how Koharu reacted - she seems to be unconcerned and far more interested in Hana's behavior than Mikan's report. As for their ranks... no proof, but I will assign them a rank

First contact with Mikan. I rather like her. Can't really tell anything about our Gyaru third seat. From the group chat I have high hopes for Saori given her avatar. Can't really say anything about Koharu given how little we got and an avatar that appears to be from a sunset across a river bank standing on concrete outlooks(?).

I don't know the used Kanji for her surname... but if it's spelled 緑川 then that would loosely translate as "Green River"... but in terms of characters Hana Midorikawa from Prison School comes to mind. If Koharu is anything like her, then we're in for... fun and violence:

Mikan... I found her interesting when she was first shown and from the looks and her act so far she seems to be a responsible and reasonable person with strict and cold personality. The rule-abiding iinchou type with glasses... from what we see here is that she actually seems to dislike Ruri and her behavior. To the point where she works behind her back against her. My first impression of discord among the class D guards wasn't so wrong, then. That harsh "disgusting" on the last panel, though. If that was directed at Hana's odd behavior, then what do we make of it? Is she appalled by Hana's 180 in particular or just ticked off by unprofessional, unbefitting behavior in general. She never met Sou, only Ruri did so far... wouldn't be surprised if she's masking her true nature (which would be a huge fujoshi) - not a rotten apple but a rotten orange, then.

I want to see more of her. And of course I want to see the other guards and their guys,,, though, it's just one guy right now, since Class C is male-deprived for the time being.

I wonder at Ruri's game here. She's eliminated in one way or another two male students. Based on chapter 260, she likes to start shit, but she has thus far evaded Miku's wrath and retaliation. She has the 2-D boy thoroughly under her thumb, which is highly unusual in this world. She also doesn't care about his twink ass. Sou's scent nearby knocked her out (ch. 239) and she loathes the smell of aroused women.

Her thoughts were weird, too. "Surrendering to a guy... letting my heart spiral out of control... it's wrong- when it's forbidden!" Her empty eyes are also curious, too.

That's also why she detests women who let themselves go wild because of a guy since that reminds her of her own vulnerability when it comes to men. It would also explain why she won't do anything about Mairu at all. He's a "Yes-Man" who's easily controlled and led by the nose, so no fanger for her at all. In fact, look at that thin, frail guy... he's be done for in seconds. On the other hand spoiled brats like Yamada are targeted. We don't know much about Takahashi but maybe he also caused trouble in his own way.

My pet theory for Ruri is that she could be one of the few girls in school who actually have a (younger) brother at home and it's that experience with him which made Ruri into a man-eating snake. If her brother is near her age and every bit of familial love got directed at him whereas Ruri herself is somehow negleted at home? We have to remember one thing - we only ever saw Sou's family and Akane actually loves her daughters just as much. She treats them all equally and fairly... But that's not how it normally goes for families with a boy. Usually mothers are spoiling their sons rotten and turn them into little tyrants. If Ruri experienced that from a girl's perspective then it could explain a lot about her character and why Mairu is a non-issue for her - he simply submits and folds instantly and Ruri can boss him around all she wants.

But that's an unfounded assumption based on the world and what we saw.

This theory actually does address a great number of questions about Ruri, though not Mairu being on the BSS path. Why is he so weak? Mentally, I mean. We haven't seen any little tyrants beyond flashbacks, but we know Suzuki isn't one, he peacefully accepts bentos from his family and is considered nice in this world, enough so that Aya worries Sou will make a catamite out of him. By contrast, Old Sou was at a minimum aggressive, rude (called Sumire filthy, cruel to Sakura) and refused to make eye contact with them and holed up in his room to avoid them. He may have also sworn at them and hit them. It's unclear if this behavior was solely post-donation, but Sakura's behavior suggests it was not.

Anyway, back to Mairu: he calls himself an "understanding" guy, which is already an oddity. He clings to Ruri, oddity 2. He is just so strange, stranger than Sou, even.

Possibly. Ruri was shaken by Sou's pheromones, but just fakes everything with Mairu.

I doubt the existence of a #1 group - Aya and Miku are consistently breastling each time they meet, Aya distrusts Ruri, Miku sees Ruri as a shit starter, the class 2-C girls are "troublesome" and "may harbor resentment" over their boy's, Takahashi's, "truancy"... too dysfunctional a group dynamic.

There might be a #3 group, though?
