"Average" high school girl at it again, now with microscopes 🙄
Most actual average high schoolers (that's not in engineering and/or a nerd) would remember ZERO of the blueprints for these inventions.

Sorry if I'm complaining (again) this late, but this one thing takes me out of the story since it's so easy to fix: just create other characters that could've made these inventions. Even super genius Senku needed other talented people to create most of this stuff that he thinks up/remembers.

Technically, she's already doing this and has these people in her employ by now this late in the story, but the crossbow thing back when she only still has a village still bothers me. Some random village blacksmith would not know how to make a crossbow.
I don't mind it because she's not the one doing it. Shizuko is like the mc or player of a civ builder, and this is a scenario where she has access to a tech tree. She knows that X Engram exist somewhere down the line, but, she doesn't know how to make herself. So she sets her researchers on unlocking it.

Now, you might say that there are other mangas with the similar gist of Urban Developement that have a side character that does the same. But, here and for me, it actually takes real time for her to accomplish these things. From days, to weeks, months, and even years...

That's this manga's strongest point is something very few can or are willing to replicate: The Grind.

You don't just have magic maniacs that immediately Henry Ford Assembly Line whatever is put in front of them, it takes a while for her to work up an infrastructure that allows industrialization. We started off with chapters that were dedicated to her using modern agriculture to feed her first village and provide tribute to Oda. And that took months to a year to show the fruit. Basically an entire arc on simple farming techniques.

Even this simple microscope is the result of her asking a blacksmith to make her basic crossbow from those chapters. As it is also from her getting them to make glass many chapters later. As well as the telescope that she present Nobunaga with. It didn't come out of nowhere, it's been grinding in the back ground almost the entire manga when you break down the tech tree that lead to it.

It's just that now, she has had so many other bases covered that her researchers can run full time. Every advancement in tiers basically increased the number of projects she could run simultaneously, which means the fruits that bare are more plentiful. And now everything is popping off because she has entire departments that run themselves without her.

And god I love it. The Grind is BEAUTIFUL.

What are they gonna do after conquering Japan? Jump start Imperial Japan?
That'd be pretty sweet. With Nobunaga in charge and not Ieyasu or Hideyoshi (and of course, Shizuko) you get a very industrialized focused Japan very early on.

You wouldn't be ignorant of the outside world, its politics, its technologies, and be caught with your pants down after 200 years-thanks Tokugawa.

And you wouldn't inherently need to invade Korea to try and conquer China-nice one Toyotomi.

This japan can become a verticle empire instead of a horizontal one. Where they get far ahead of everyone else and people instead come and differ to the the Oda Shogunate simply to access their gains. Which, if they're smart, is eventually going to lead to Imperial Japan as they build a navy that controls the waters in that part of the Hemisphere.

Wait, 2017? What did they prove, specifically? Nitrogen fixation by lightning is already well taught, even if not heavily emphasized. I wasn't able to find a corresponding research paper or published article on it either (though I didn't exactly look that hard...).
The nitrogen fixation was discovered by Kristian Birkeland in 1903, when he tested his electric arc apparatus, designed to mimick lightning. He developed the Birkeland-Eyde process with financier Sam Eyde and started Norsk Hydro to produce fertilizer. Rather well known industrial history here in Norway. If someone claimed to discover this in 2017, they were over a century late.

If the Honnoji Temple incident didn't happen in this lifetime that is.

Just because the manga started in 2017 doesn't mean the author couldn't include that. The chapter part of the novel could have written after the research result was announced.
Indeed, one would have to search for corresponding chapters in the light novel to confirm~

As I understood it at least, she didn't actually design it. She just had a idea of what was needed and at this point the craftsmen trust her enough that they investigated it properly and figured it out.

It's a bit like how I don't know the physics needed to make a plane, but I have a general idea of the shape and materials of the Wright Brothers plane and could help nudge a expert in the right direction as long as they trust me when I say "This can be made to work."
Exactly this.

And with a bonus. The Wright Brothers didn't know planes could work.

You, modern man/woman/attack helicopter do.

If our forebearers can invent things based of a theory, an idea, or simply a dream-you ought to be able to push people who have the skills and talenta required for making this stuff into discovering it themselves...assuming you have the favor, backing, and/or mandate of a feudal telling you to do stuff as well as the resources to support these craftsman and inventors.
