The anime will most likely cover the story only up to the prom.I wonder how the whole drama arc will be handled in the anime lol

I was thinking the same thing, that this was only like, their second fall together. How many years have they been together at this point for it to be an annual tradition?…
I was about to say, they sure glossed past all that drama in a hurry, I didn’t really like the arc but I at least wanted to see it get resolved. So, basically, previous arc was waste of our time?
They started during their last year of high-school, now their in college, I think 2nd or 3rd year. So they've been living with each other about 3 or 4 years now I think 🤔I was thinking the same thing, that this was only like, their second fall together.
That is quite literally an entire volume. And as another comparison, the previous volume included them finally getting together AND the lead up to Mitsuki’s breakdown at her gig. The drama arc has literally lasted longer than they’ve been officially otherwise together. All of this bullshit about “back to slice of life relationship stuff” completely ignores the fact that they’ve only been officially together for one and a half of five volumes, and all the mess of them getting together in the first place. Some nubers for people still bitching about the "drama arc", it started at ch 152 and ended at ch 178-179, not including the chapters in-between that had nothing to do with drama like ch 161 which was about Mitsuki catching a cold. So all in all there wasn't really thatmany actually dedicated to that plot. And again, it was never a relationship problem, it was a communication one born from Mitsuki's depression. Something that they probably will come back to, but ultimately not the problem people keep thinking it was. Also, 2 chapters ago was literally called "The Sound of 'Sorry'", you know, the part where she sang about her problems to everyone, Aya included. I'd say that's a pretty good conclusion there, given she's done that before. If anyone wants the kind of drama they think that was, I recommend reading "So do you want to go out, or?", its a good manga that covers ACTUAL relationship drama.
We weren't "bitching" about the length, though. It was badly written. Let's recap it, shall we?Some nubers for people still bitching about the "drama arc", it started at ch 152 and ended at ch 178-179, not including the chapters in-between that had nothing to do with drama like ch 161 which was about Mitsuki catching a cold. Some people REALLY can’t get behind the idea that if they love a piece of media they need to be extra critical of it. I truly enjoyed the first part of this manga, but as soon as they left high school it’s really dropped off in plot quality. We weren't "bitching" about the length, though. It was badly written. Koga "sells out"; she gets depressed, drops the music, and does everything she can to stop Aya from helping with her problems; the story introduces not one, but two possible "cheaters-with"; boom! younger brother's drama!; suddenly, Koga is cured of her depression and picks up music again; both dramas resolved, fluff time!
