hmm.

Already felt a bit iffy about how it seemed like Yuu's mother would just be absolved of what she'd done with comparative imbalance of "repercussions" compared to the immensity of her transgression, but now that she's also having some sort of health emergency I feel like that's being further undercut.
Can't imagine Yuu holding her mother to account if next chapter she's sick in a hospital bed. Even outside of cultures that put a lot of emphasis on the concept of filial piety, that sort of behavior is generally frowned upon and seen as diverging from the expected norm, no matter how much the parent might have fucked up the life of their child.

Author! Health problems won't make me like or forgive the character all of a sudden author!

still think it is weird how her deep trauma just disappeared and they unironically are vying for the disgusting mother's attention now lmao
They should've won the thing -> "fuck off you loser parent" -> just leave, author trying for some "uwu pain she had reason to abandon one child and just keep going with career" is lame af kek

I remember reading this in the CYH issue and having a slightly silly smile on my face when seeing Haru with fangs on display and fierce expression, akin to a hunting wolf that has its target in its sights :>

With so much gay energy of course that they have won. :meguu:

And what do you know? Mom acted the way she did because she knew she was dying so she wanted her daughters to... Do something in their lives so that they can move on with as little emotional instability as possible... or something...

As it was perfectly said here:
She’s suffering a severe allergic reaction to trying to be a decent parent
and:
gets confronted with bad parenting once

fucking dies

Author inserting "terminal disease" at this point of the story is not going to make the public feel compassion toward her, and it shows...

People seem to care a lot about this whole thing with the mother and sister and how they need to repent and all that, but to me, it feels like just an obligatory setting thing. They had to get it out of the way at some point, but I don't think it's all that relevant.

What these recent chapters are actually lacking is character interaction. The concert felt incredibly dull because, unlike the confession in chapter 19, it was basically just the characters singing and having the most generic thoughts imaginable, we've come this far together yadda yadda. Not even memories of their emotional moments together, not even exchanging a glance while performing, just bubbles with lyrics. Almost like the author forgot it's supposed to be a romance manga.

Was going to complain that they need to get OUT of those school uniforms. I'm surprised they won popular vote when they looked way less put together than everyone else (could be argued the audience enjoyed a more "down-to-earth" look but I would still argue there was no indication of that either). However, got extremely distracted by the mom suddenly DYING and laughed too hard to care anymore.
