It continues the sort of slapstick comedy that's been characterizing this Kiyo arc, slows it down, one more quick gag that matches what Agawa and Shige were doing to him in the Kiyo-arc, saying contradictory things to confuse him, and then kind of winding it down for some cute and somewhat earnest character slice of life at the end.

I mentioned it in the spoiler of the last chapter, but Shige is a good character who teases Agawa and Gotou the way she does because she knows Agawa likes Gotou. it's pretty sweet, all things considered.

Them coming out of concern will probably mean a lot to Gotou if it comes up again, but either way, at least they said No, lol.

Hopefully we can slow down a bit and get more slower paced character forward chapters that are still funny like this in the next arc.

After all that it didn't surprise me that he collapsed because there is limit to how much stamina he should have. I couldn't help but laugh that Shige & Agawa were trying mind game each other while Gotou is swapping from getting excited & being disappointed. That last panel tells me that person might be another guy Agawa or Shige hooked up with in the past but who knows. Thanks for the translations.

I've also noticed this lol. If it's the same guy, he's been shown in Ch.1 p.14 and Ch.15 p.14, with the largest montage panel both times (as you mentioned).

My prediction is that this new character is probably one of Agawa's favorite sex friends (like her childhood friend Yuki), and like Yuki in the OG manga, will be one of the main romantic rivals for Gotou. He even got larger montage panels than Yuki, which is interesting since Takeda Super hasn't really explored Agawa's relationship with Yuki in this series just yet. (Though perhaps he doesn't intend to, since the OG series has Yuki as the main rival, and Takeda Super might want to switch things up for this series.)

Another possibility is that he's (also) Agawa's middle school crush, who Shiina slept with in front of Agawa (Ch.29 p.11 and Vol. 4's revised Ch.31 p.7). If so, he and Agawa might share a more complicated past than her other sex friends, and Agawa might still harbor some romantic feelings for him (and he might feel similarly towards her as well).

To go even further, I think the new guy could be a toxic "ex-boyfriend" type who, like Yuki and Gotou, might want to have Agawa all to himself. Agawa might hate his guts but also be extremely sexually attracted to him, which could lead to some erotic scenarios due to manipulation and coercion.

With the Kiyomi arc now over (or at least, I hope so lol), it seems like Takeda Super has got some major plot development in store for Agawa and Gotou. Which is great, since sex scenes alone isn't what makes this series so erotic, and it's the combination of character progression and sex scenes that create the many peak moments this manga has had.

It's possible that he's Agawa's middle school crush, who Shiina slept with in front of Agawa (Ch.29 p.11 and Vol. 4's revised Ch.31 p.7). If so, he and Agawa probably have a much more complicated past together than her other sex friends, and Agawa might still harbor some romantic feelings for him (and he might feel similarly for her as well).

This is something that in that retconned group of chapters that Takeda Super seemed to want to revisit based on the little authors notes of that volume, and I thought, while reading through all of them the other day, it did leave Shiina flat without it. Her uninhibited whimsy (even compared to her sister and Shige and the other sluts of the school) is part of her overarching joke, so, it's fine, but to come back and add this extra context now would probably work better than that version of chapter 31.

It also makes Agawa 'fighting back' at the end of 29 and hopping on Gotou to probably mean more in retrospect as well, because as silly as the impromptu incest threesome and Agawa going along with it was, and as much more upset Agawa could've been about that in that chapter where she kind of holds him at arms length in the library right after, Takeda super definitely gave the story some longevity with that retcon.

So he could be a more proper love rival, to where it's more than just random jealousy like he's had with other sex friends. Like another boy that Agawa likes the way she likes Gotou but is held in this liminal space of sex friend or maybe something even more complex like you suggest, which isn't something we've seen before, since Agawa's sex life, while pivotal to the premise, has not been that story relevant recently, it's just been something that happened in the background.

With the Kiyomi arc now over (or at least, I hope so lol)

The joke overstayed it's welcome a bit, but I think it wasn't too long since I just started reading it on 114, I didn't have to live with that for like 6 months lol.
