Well, this isn't the first chapter about that, lol. Although I must admit, because of Japanese style of storytelling, it's seems, that it's the first chapter, when they're tell about exact nature of her "admiration" almost without additional subtext. Or it's just goggles, I don't know.

Baka is so dense shonen romcom MC, that she become all female slice of life idiot MC because of this. Also, is she really made a theory about domination of brown colored food? Maybe somewhere in her mind she really have some scientific reason, lol.

Development? They're both still on status quo on this ship for now. Hime still in Baka's simp mode, while Baka still completely dense like shonen MC. Only if it's completely first chapter you're see with this pairing.

Timing? We have 5 volumes in between, so it's save to assume, that we can get much more Hime or Hime X Baka chapters in them. It's like 50 chapters or more. And like I said above, this isn't even the first Hime cover. Remember the seventh one.
