So the dad knew Miko inherited the same power, and has been protecting the house so she at least has a sanctuary to return to.

Makes me wonder if the dad's house growing up was similarly protected; if its a traditional thing to have an ancestor for house protection. It'd mean Miku would have to do the same for any children she has though?

Dad and Francois are gonna fight until they destroy that thing. I also think both of them will expend their ghost energies fighting and eventually pass on to the other side, I hope im super wrong but I think thats whats gonna happened in that final fight.

That's what I've assumed. He had the same ability, and is as smart as when he was alive. On top of Miko being awkward, she has been pursued by creatures. Recently with bodyguards it became more obvious, but it was no surprise.

Yes he knew his daugther could see ghosts and he must have felt terrible about that all the time. but he was forced to not talk to her.. since it would attached unwanted attention from other ghosts.
