@La_Tis Good point. Of course that's a somewhat misleading statistic, since it's a cross-genre average. It varies a lot between the genres/demographics. For instance, the effect is pretty minimal in josei and most historical manga. But in romances, especially shoujo or shounen, it can range as high as 50 or, if there's a significant comedy element, even 60%. Further research is needed . . . 😉
