Edit: It’s now increasingly being viewed as a fetish. There was a video posted by a friend (dancing) of mine where they were being threatened and pressured to wear cat ears and a tail just to fit someone else’s standards. This goes beyond simple self expression when people are being pressured or threatened into participating in something they’re uncomfortable with.
